I'm turning Anon asks off for some time now. I have started to receive lots of anonymous money-begging asks, all written in pretty much the exact same sense and wording with just different links. Woke up today to THREE asks like that, so my ask box is now anon-off until I feel like they might be done with sending me those asks.

Good thing is: you can block the sender even on anon asks. Bad thing is: there seems to be just more and more of these and they try to reach to you through just anything. I refuse to believe majority of them are even legit, probably just scammers trying to scam money from people by using the distress of real people as their carrot on a stick. Disgusting.

#i know who this is but I'm not sure I would recognize him in person.#mainly because I can easily walk past celebrities and not see them cos I don't expect to see them #so my brain won't register them as anyone but another random person #might only afterwards go 'wait... was that [name]..?'#so I think I might recognize him if I saw him in Helsinki or something #but if he suddenly was in my city without having any announced project here #then I probably would not realize it's him.

tumblr is such a different animal than other social media platforms for so many reasons obviously but one thing i really find funny about it is how on other sites if i see something that doesn't interest me i don't follow or don't like the post. but on here if someone i follow starts posting exclusively about something really niche that i have no interest in my reaction is never to unfollow. its just part of the natural environment. like oh mutual is now really into pro wrestling? ok i guess ill be seeing these guys around now

#yeah I will just filter the tags if they keep flooding my dash for days #i'll unfollow only if I cannot find a way to filter out the content that makes me uncomfortable

#this is in the uk but the way I grimaced when I saw this because I'm european #that is like... a mine right?#super common to find those in central europe ig but no idea how common they are to come by in the uk #in finland they are pretty rare afaik #at least I don't remember seeing any news articles about these here

#it's funny because I have been to berlin twice #and I learned to read and use these maps in Berlin :DDD #Stockholm had a similar system too #what's even funnier is that I have used publc transport more in Berlin than what I have in my own home country #I go to Helsinki so rarely and usually don't need to travel much inside the city #so I barely even know how to use anything but the trains there #and the train system is not as complex
