I swear to you that to think too much is a disease, a real, actual disease. - Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Notes from the Underground

sorry i do think it's pretty funny that men for thousands of years were like "women just aren't very smart... :( their poor brains can't handle real education" and now women are doing better than men in all levels of schooling to the point where it's some kind of crisis that boys don't learn good... sucks to suck

It also turns out that a ridiculous percentage of male "authors" were just stealing their wives diaries and manuscripts. No wonder they didn't want us having our own educations - they wanted to hoard our intellectual and artistic contributions for themselves. Sucks to suck!

never understood those futuristic/sci-fi settings where they have robot pets..... no way in hell cats are going out of business

“You say, science itself will teach man (but that is already a luxury, I think), that really he had neither will nor caprice, and never did, and that he himself is nothing more than something like a piano key or an organ stop; and that above all, there are laws of nature in the world; and so everything that he does is done not according to his wants but according to the laws of nature in and of themselves. Therefore these laws of nature need only be discovered and man will no longer have to answer for his behaviour and living will become extraordinarily easy.”

— Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Notes from Underground
