The thing is that if Jason was a ghost, Bruce would absolutely see him. I think there's enough canon that's established that Bruce can see and talk to ghosts at this point. The only question is whether or not he'd actually realize that Jason's ghost is a ghost and in fact not a hallucination, because Bruce also happens to hallucinate dead people pretty often.

a scenario where both Bruce and Tim are out and about as civilians and end up needing a rescue from their respective Supers so Jim Gordon has to sit there and watch as Superman (fine as long as he's just visiting) and Superboy (near-identical to the former but says fuck?) carry the two Wayne family members back down to safety while simultaneously playing the "I've never met this man in my life! Just a lucky rescue! / If you even look at my human I'm going to go feral" game all the way down.

Clark Kent being extremely hardworking and too proud (kind?) to ever ask for a handout from a friend versus Bruce Wayne becoming jaded over the years to “friends” only ever asking him for money or favors…god, they really are best friends, aren’t they? Clark would rather try to save the Kent family farm all on his own than let Bruce pay for it. And Bruce would work day and night, even buying a bank and probably replacing a whole corporate ladder of decision makers just so Ma Kent can have her home back and Clark can sleep well at night.
Or, to sum it up: a man who will never ask for a handout is friends with a man who doesn’t do handouts for anyone except him.
