being a lesbian danmei fan is so silly because I have no idea how attractive these characters are supposed to be to the average man liker. like in mdzs lwj is repeatedly described as like the most attractive man ever and I kept looking at the art of him on the cover like "is he tho? he just looks like a standard pretty boy" but a few days ago I tried imagining him as a woman for some reason and ohhhhhh. ohhh I think I get it now.
