i feel you. i could potentially go to their next tour if they stop near me but i feel conflicted bc like...how good of a show is it gonna be if they're exhausted? and the last time they toured the US they were busy as hell beforehand but still 🫤

I'm just... so frustrated with KQ and how they're managing Ateez's schedules right now. To have back to back tours is insane for anyone. Even if they had a Toronto stop, I'd be really hesitant on going this time because I don't want to support a company that's just using its idols as cash cows and running them into the ground. We don't see what goes on behind the scenes, so we don't see what injuries, fatigue, exhaustion, and/or pain (mental and physical) they could be keeping to themselves to maintain appearances.

Plus, they really need vocal rest, especially Jongho. It's not good to constantly be performing, let alone hitting such intense notes while dancing. Not even opera singers perform to that calibre, and they're at least allowed to mark their voices. (sing the octave down while practicing). Constant performing such notes, especially since Jongho is a belter actually does more harm than good, and tbh, because of the ear training I have from seven plus years of vocal training, it's clear to hear the strain in his voice during his highest notes (Wonderland symphony no. 9 and Everything).

Not to mention previous injuries and not getting proper/enough time to heal. Jongho has already had to have surgery. That was literally only a year ago. Burn out is very possible, and from the way they exert themselves on stage, I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of them is currently suffering in silence. The mental toll alone of constantly going and never stopping is intense, not to mention the physical wear and tear on their bodies.

Considering how high prices were last tour, it wouldn't surprise me if they're just as bad, if not even more expensive this time around. I get that people want to support their favs and see them in concert. I really do. But when is enough, enough? Where is the line drawn? There have been so many cases of young people especially literally working themselves to death from conditions similar to these.

It literally terrifies me to think they're going back on tour. Is one or more of them collapsing from exhaustion going to even be enough to stop their schedules?

Insane.

No, because honestly guys, this is making me really upset. Ateez aren't machines. They've been touring practically non-stop for years now, all while making comebacks and special stage appearances. It's literally almost been a year since Coachella, and they've been going since even before that. As much as I love seeing them perform in concert, I want them to take breaks and stay healthy. It's not good to always be doing such intense sets and travelling. They're literally running themselves into the ground. It makes me so scared that one or more of them is going to either seriously injure themselves more than they already have, and/or collapse on stage.

Seriously, such intense schedules is NOT healthy.

I went to read the plagiarizing fic just to see for myself—they 100% took your fic and reworded all the plot points with Seonghwa.

It could have been just a super weird coincidence in the first few hundred words, but by the time it got to where the MC confesses to Seonghwa that she listens to his audios the fic reads almost the exact same as yours, line for line.

I hope the author posts an explanation soon.

the thing about it that’s such a bummer is that like…. the idea of reader x sex worker member is not new at all, but writing compelling plots is like half of the entire point of writing. if you take someone’s plot like i think this person did, it doesn’t matter that it’s a different member or that my exact phrasing wasn’t used….. you still ripped out the soul of my fic and repackaged it.

i don’t know. it just gets really exhausting posting work for free and being excited to share it knowing some people are ripping it off or god forbid feeding it into chat gpt or something.

Seeing this still being a problem, especially in Atiny-blr is literally heartbreaking. As someone who has had this exact thing happen to them, I can't just scroll passed this on my dash. It's crushing to have someone take your own hard work and 'reword' a few things, then pass it off as their own.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I know first hand how difficult it can be, and I fully support whatever you choose to do. People need to know that this shit is NOT okay. This is plagiarism. Dead and simple.

It's been over two years since the plagiarism incident with HC and it's still something I think about often. Granted, it resurfaced about two months ago, and I honestly considered leaving Tumblr for good. People want to know why their favourite authors are leaving/no longer writing any more, and this is a major factor.

I literally could not have said it better myself, they "still ripped the soul out of [the] fic and repackaged it".

The only thing that makes me just as upset is plagiarism apologizers. Don't even get me started on the shit I've dealt with recently.

I honestly just wish there was a bit more maturity from these authors who actually do shit like this and think they can get away with it. Or, you know... some morality shown on their part. I'm getting sick and tired of it.

Awww, thank you so much!! It honestly means a lot to me to hear this kind of thing. It makes me feel really good about my writing and my writing style 🥰

Also, English is my first language!! It's actually funny, because I used to always struggle with it when I was in school until about high school. Even still, I can have difficulties with it at times. My brain likes to conveniently forget certain words and certain spellings at times that I end up sitting and staring at my screen for waaayyyy too long trying to remember what word I was going for.

You can definitely do it!! Practice, practice, practice! I can definitely say I've come a long way since I started writing, and I'm still growing every day. Writing is one of those things that never stops improving, so I recommend taking your time and not being too hard on yourself. Most of all, write for you. You'll discover your own voice and writing style in no time!
