URGENT! We Need Help With Our Storage Units And Car!

3/15/2025- New Post

So we haven't gotten any help via Tumblr, just help from a singular friend, but we're desperate. My daughter has a disability hearing in downtown San Diego in May that we need to be able to drive too since it would be, like, $200 for an Uber round trip. We also need to get a Uhaul a few times to run errands and bring things to the apartment/take our recycling to the recycling center/transfer stuff from one storage unit to another. That won't be as expensive, but it's just as important. We also have loans to pays that I would like to pay off early.

I'm setting the goal for $3000, as I'm currently overdrawn about $400 and need to cover that before I can start saving for anything, and I think the car is going to be $2000 for all the stuff that's wrong with it. Any help would be much appreciated.

why does viva la vida by coldplay always go so hard. i hear those opening strings and instantly im a cynical and mournful king walking through his overthrown kingdom like oh shit I totally did used to rule the world!!! I used to roll the dice and feel the fear in my enemies’ eyes but now im literally sweeping the streets I used to own!!!! idk what it is about this song but for some reason i can’t explain

Guys did I ever tell you about the time I completely accidentally ruined a professionally made campaign for Dungeons and Dragons thanks to a single roll

Please explain

Ok so we had to fight our way to the bottom of a castle to stop a group of cultists from summoning an Orc god to the world and we got there and the ritual was already going so I ran up to the god, who had already begun to manifest, and cast Finger of Death, which kills any target I touch if they fail a Fortitude roll. Since he was a god, he had a good constitution and would have certainly survived

Except the DM rolled a 1

and the god exploded

Honestly this is the best addition I’m gonna get to this post so thank you

I don’t mean to be old but computer used to just have games. U didnt have to pay for em either but if u wanted u could get a little CD that put the game onto the computer and you could play it forever and ever even if the company that made it went to hell and shit. You didn’t even need the internet or wifi or anything. And it was pretty neat

It would be a finished game, too. If you played long enough and did really good you could go to all the places and get all the stuff. You never had to pay more money later it was just there. onn compter

attaching morality to someone's tastes in fiction is baffling to me.

you understand that Christians read the Bible and self help books and good moral wholesome pro family/pro child friendly literature while doing some of the worst shit you've ever heard of to their own families/children...?

meanwhile the heathen writing piss kink and watersports and consensual choking is the nicest person you'll ever meet who just sits in her room writing porn and daydreaming all day.

you insist that people who read or write dark content are amoral, and yet don't seem to realize that by banning or condemning such content, all you do is make it more difficult to recognize and talk about.

it's like christians saying don't teach sex ed, then the children won't know sex exists -

children are going to have sex regardless of whether you ban sexual materials or not. they're human beings, human beings have sexual urges.

sometimes these urges are not fucking pc or palatable to everyone.

as long as they don't bother anyone, why the fuck does it matter that they exist

oh you people... saying thought crimes exist...

stop it.

you might as well join the Christian fundamentalist camp. stop pretending to be progressive and start reading some fucking christian lit.

you don't like noncon or dubcon or age gap or incest or toxic codependency or fetish content in media- great, don't fucking read it.

you can literally go read Dr Seuss books, nothing is stopping you.

But going out here with your torches and insisting that everyone love the same shit you do... blah.

if something makes you uncomfortable, walk away from it.

it's so bizarre that you care what other people are reading or watching on their own time. if they're not hurting anyone else, you're just attacking for the sake of it. because it's what you like to do.

and other people might not be able to see through you, but I can, you're like glass to me.

I'd just like to clarify some things about Senator Cory Booker's marathon Senate speech in protest of the present administration and everything they are doing to the American people.

Senator Booker was NOT allowed to sit down, eat, or use the bathroom during his speech. Sitting or leaving the room to use the bathroom would be considered yielding the floor. Eating would have interfered with his speaking and the person who has the senate floor must continue to speak, except when listening to questions that they will then answer.

He only took occasional sips of water.

The person who previously held the record for longest speech on the Senate floor did have bathroom breaks and also did things like read from the encyclopedia.

Senator Booker did not do that. His speech was to point out the damage that this administration is doing and he stayed on that subject.

Senator Booker's speech did reach many people. It wasn't a silly stunt that was done so that he could take the record for longest speech. He wanted to show the country that democrats will do something to bring attention to the problems we are facing. That democrats are listening to them.

Senator Cory Booker spoke for 25 hours and 4 minutes to "make good trouble."

also like, a Black man breaking Strom Thurmond's record is absolutely *chef's kiss*

for those who are too young to know about Strom, he was literally a white supremacist

For added context, Strom Thurmond's record was established while filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

Not to start discourse but I will be forever mad that every time I go into the Goncharov tag I see people complaining that they watched the movie expecting a soft queer romcom about pure cinnamon rolls and instead they got a complex and violent film about deeply flawed people where everyone dies.

By all means, engage in fandom however you choose. But don’t blame the source material for not being consistent with some random fanon on tumblr. Kinda wild to get mad that the movie about violent, morally dark grey criminals has violence, crime and moral greyness in it. You know? Also, imho given the time this movie was made, the queer coding was daring; this is NOT an example of queerbaiting.
