What the government is doing in Hungary right now is a disgrace and some of the most vile shit they've done in a long time.
And because of Orbáns decisions as prime minister, the whole population of the country suffers, not only by it's own gov, but by foreigners as well.
I've been going through some posts about the overall situation of Hungary and instead of solidarity or sympathy, all I've seen from people is the slander of the avarage hungarian person. The people who say these stuff have no idea whats going on here or just ignore everything in general. No clue about history, politics, etc.
So let me clear some stuff up. First of all, most people here fucking hate the current gov. Most if not all of the countrys suffering is because of them and the people have had enough. There are protests and such every week. So instead of blaming the avarage person for the shit the gov is doing (not arresting a genocidal war criminal, taking away basic human rights, etc) maybe blame the gov? We are constantly being attacked by them, and don't need the uneducated people to attack us as well. Support the protests, encourage others, spread actual infos!
Secondly, like I've mentioned before, our rights are being taken away one by one, until we are under a borderline dictatorship. Same sex marriage is banned, same sex couples cant adopt children, transitioning is banned, lgbtq+ people are labelled pedos while acual pedofiles are being pardoned, Pride has just been banned, soon protests might be, free speech and free media is nonexistent, also corruption and propaganda is EVERYWHERE. They are arresting teens at protests, setting pedofiles free, take away peoples buisnesses so only theirs remain, starve the people, steal EU money, etc. In the whole of the EU the sales tax is the highest at 27%, along with inflation, all the while the prime ministed goes to India for vaction on his private jet, and his rich friends buy yachts and nature reserves to destroy them left and right.
And they get richer while the education and healthcare systems are fighting for their lives. Seriously, look up pictures of public schools and hospitals, they are in fucking ruins. The waitlists go up to years in public healthcare. In the summers they had to delay surgeries cause the temperature went up to 40 C° and they had on cooling. In a hospital.

And this is only a fraction of the problems here! Do basic research (that isn't gov propaganda) and you can see all the shit that's been going on for decades, centuries even, We couldn't catch a break since the Habsburgs I think. Or the turkish invasion in the 15th century lol.
All in all, we DON'T want to be Russia, we DON'T want Netenyahu here, we want to be part of Europe and we've had enough of the oppression by FIDESZ.
