I’m okay with being tagged in posts. I may not participate in tag chains, but I appreciate the tag nonetheless. same goes for certain ask games; sometimes I forget and sometimes I never know who else to tag in those lol.

i normally don’t post myself here but i just looked so damn good i couldn’t hide that from you guys.

the jacket, shirt, and pants were all secondhand. the shoes i’ve had for so long they might actually be from Payless (hence the scuff mark). my snake ring Throckmorton i got years ago from the jewelry and rock vendor on my college campus. the necklace is handmade and i got it from an artist at a craft fair this past December and it’s made using old surfboard material (i don’t think the artist had an insta to link). also you can’t see them but i’m wearing earrings that are specifically studs that look like the one Mark wore when he got his ear pierced in that one Unus Annus video (they were a gift from my grandmother who doesn’t know anything about all that or why i wanted them so bad lol). i also have a bracelet that’s hidden by sleeves but idk where it came from i just took it from my mum last time she cleaned out her jewelry box.

You can just draw more fat bitches. You don't have to make fatness exclusive to established fat characters or like one or two ocs. You can just draw more fat bitches.

Drawing an angel? A werewolf? A demon? Some guy? Some girl? Are they skinny? Why? Could you draw them fat? Should you? Why not? If you draw elves all the time, have you ever drawn a fat one? You can make the handsome dandy vampire husband fat, it's not against the rules. You can just draw more fat bitches.

crazy how there's collectively maybe a dozen they/them characters in pieces of media that anyone talks about and if you go to look up things about them in queer fandom spaces then you'll still see them getting misgendered a good 60% of the time

moment of unspeakable beauty today when one of my coworkers called another coworker "judas" for not splitting a can of white monster with her, and i got to watch the guy who sits next to me open a new google tab, type in "jeudis," and say quietly to himself "french thursday...?"

im going crazy you have GOT to decouple romance/amatonormativity and marriage in your mind. you have GOT to understand that marriage is a legal document that protects you from exploitation especially if you are a woman or a stay-at-home anything. it is not some evil unique to heterosexual people. it is a legal document that says 'this is who i want in my hospital room when i die, this is who i want to have my stuff when i die, THIS PERSON OWES ME RECOMPENSE IF THEY KICK ME OUT OF THE HOUSE I LIVE IN"

You are not immune to being taken advantage of by your partner if you are queer. do not wind up homeless because your garbage live-ins name is on the lease and they decided to drop you like hot coals.

Adding to this:

  • This is why it is not assimilationist for gay/queer people to want to enshrine marriage rights in their country/region
  • Similarly, this is why polyamorous people are fighting for the right to have their relationships recognised by their states through marriage and/or similar agreements
  • Oh, and because on top of those aforementioned financial and medical protections, these laws also help you maintain connection to any kids you have and/or raise together!
  • I would go further and say, this is why we really should be looking to expand some of these rights so that marriage is NOT the only way they should be enshrined. (e.g. Why could I get married tonight to a guy I met this morning, and get him on my health insurance, but I cannot do the same for a sibling?)

Remember the fight for same sex marriage was never “we feel left out”, it was “we’re sick and not allowed to see each other. We’re dying and not allowed at the funeral. Someone who kicked me out at 14 just showed up for the first time 24 years later to tell the doctor to pull the plug, and they did.”

Marriage is a legal documentation of rights. Fully agree with prev that those rights should be divested from the concept of monogamy entirely, but for now we have to at least understand what they are

She's also publicly stated that she believes that anyone who reads her books or watches her shows and films does so because they explicitly agree with her political views.

There's no "agree to disagree" with her work. Every time you pick up her work or talk about it you are saying to her "I agree with you Joanne" whether you like it or not.

Seriously. I'm starting to block y'all on sight it has been quite long enough of a campaign to get you weaned off this terf's books and shows (and now games!)

If you need an alternative series, consider Animorphs, written by a Katherine Applegate, a wonderful woman who is an outspoken ally of her trans daughter.

nothing more humiliating than misusing a word because i was remembering its etymological origin and not its contemporary meaning. like damn i guess this would've been really useful 700 years ago.
