The year is 2025. Tumblr is purchased by EA Games, now a subsidiary of Amazon, and converted into an ARG where posting as a feature is paid DLC. High-note posts generate lootbox tokens that you can exchange at your local Whole Foods for lootboxes that contain a random Soylent flavor and a random article of Amazon branded clothing. Nazis still haven’t been banned.

Soooooo as a therapist? This would make her my favorite fucking client.
@dancinbutterfly for her humor, her efficiency or possibly smthg else lol
Efficiency is def one part of it. I do love a quick and complete delivery of the necessary information.
But also it tells me that she has a certain level of clinical literacy, that she has been in some kind of treatment before. There are things that I can do with clients in later stages of counseling that I wouldn’t do with clients in early stages because they aren’t there yet.
The slideshow also helps show me her understanding of her own experience. I get her perspective in her terms which is always important because empathy and understanding are pretty much the most important things to have as a therapist. Therapists are not computers. We can’t always remember everything that is why we take notes and something like this would be really helpful to study to know her better.
This would also tells me a lot about how she processes a problem. Problem: New therapist who doesn’t know my issues. Old Solutions: I lay it out piecemeal as they ask questions or give what’s basically a monologue of all I can remember to my therapist which is what I usually do and don’t like. New Solution: PowerPoint.
Seeing that would give me a place to start asking questions about what her that process was coming up with the new solution because to me? That’s creative af and highly intelligent problemsolving and if she can apply that kind of reasoning and action to her new therapist issue she can probably apply that to addressing her own personal issues herself with some assistance to help get the distance and perspectives often needed on things that are tied up in intense or traumatic feelings. A halfway competent counselor will guide her to that and she’ll probably do the rest herself.
Thanks for asking. That was a fun mental excersice. Hope it made sense.
