i do not at all mean this in a perjorative manner, but i do think it’s important to be able to consume a piece of media and go, “i’m not the audience for this” and be able to just walk away
there doesn’t have to be something wrong or “problematic” about something for a person to not like it. personal taste is personal taste. but something not doing it for you doesn’t mean it automatically has to be wrong or bad. it’s just not for you.
There’s been several times when I’ve watched a thing and been like, they clearly did what they intended to do, and did it well, and I don’t want any part of it. This is a high quality and deeply unpleasant piece of art.

Hey please don’t delete your published fanfics, maybe in five years a sleep deprived 15yo girl will get hyperfixated in that specific side ship from a show from 2008 that your fic was based on and she’ll see that fic recommended somewhere and then spend an ungodly amount of time hunting it down both on ao3 and tumblr only to find nothing. it would be funny if Effie’s name was Persephone instead of Euphemia, because her sister’s name is Proserpina —which is the Roman version for Persephone— and i totally see their parents going like “yeah, give them the same name, it’s fancy” and then effie has to use the shorter version of her name for the rest of her life, because she doesn’t like the idea of her and her sister’s having the same name.

Nothing in Star Wars will be funnier to me than the fact that Anakin Skywalker, the whiniest more entitled brat in the Jedi order, was happily married by the age of 20 and Obi-Wan Kenobi was still pining after his high school girlfriend at 38.
in Obi-Wan’s defense, Satine was also still pining over him at 38 so my conclusion is that relationship was really something we should have seen more of in canon

Might I add an obitine fic I just finished binge-reading, called She Said The Word, it’s an au where Satine asked Obi-Wan to stay with her after their year on the run, and everyone is significantly happier in that universe and I absolutely loved it
