Rex meus et deus meus.

Paul Anne. 25. Married!!!! My blog is under the Patronage of Saint Paul, Apostle of Christ. Veils daily. Skirts Daily. Aspiring Mystic. SSPX and other modernists get blocked on sight. "Christian" witches get blocked. Please read pinned post.

My ask is open again! If you do have a question about something in my bio, check my FAQ (note, this only works in the mobile BROWSER or on desktop)! I get a lot of questions about that. Please feel free to ask me questions, but know that i almost exclusively use a queue system on this blog. I enjoy questions a lot and now that I don't spend a bunch of time on here, I can take time to answer them in detail rather than it being rushed. Thank you all for your prayers and I ask that prayer requests include a name or first initial so that I can more ardently pray for you all.

Semper per Miriam!

the coolest and most beautiful part of the Latin Rite (of which there are many) is the celibate priesthood

That is actually one of the weird cringe innovations of the romans.

How can a man be trusted with the priesthood unless he has demonstrated faithfulness to his wife and family?

This was understood and expected even in the 2nd temple era.

Your argument fails on it’s face since both Our Lord and Saint Paul argue for the superiority of celibacy over marriage in the New Testament. It’s also just not true historically but that will take more unpacking which I will have to try to get to later this week when I’m done moving and have time to collect everything.

Ok but you're still holding your average priest to a standard only two or three of the apostles held to

and higher standards are bad?

"Only two or three"

Most of the Apostles didn't have family, and its likely that St. Peter was widowed well before Christ's death andResurrection.

Not to mention in Matthew when Jesus is teaching about divorce, and the Apostles say "it is better not to marry then, if you can't divorce your wife" and Jesus literally says "yes, people will choose not to marry for the sake of the Kingdom, and that's a thing you should aspire to".

So not only did Jesus not get married, He literally told His disciples not to.

March 25th is the Solemnity of the Annunciation. This nail set is to celebrate! It features roses, lilies, and a dove descending from the skies. We love Our Mother in this house. ☺️

happy Annunciation!!

not even joking, 15 minutes after I reblogged this, one of my nails broke while I was putting some sheets into the washer, like wtf.

:o didn't realize that I broke 3k followers even though I've only been lurking since the new year. That's wild guys, thank you so much!!!!

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

*assume that there are not extenuating circumstances that might require one to leave early or whatever. just a regular sunday.

no non-catholic/see results button this is top secret knowledge, you people can wait 3 days to see the results /hj

After the priest and crucifix has left, merely because most of the time at my parish, the recessional is a 5-8 minute organ recessional+postlude. If it's a hymn though, you have to stay for the conclusion of the hymn.

i would not include the organ postlude as part of the recessional song for the purposes of this poll. much like how the prelude does not signify the start of Mass, it's essentially idle music not intended to be part of the liturgy.

What I mean is that most of the time instead of singing a recessional hymn, there is just one organ piece that is used as *both* the recessional and a postlude. If there is a hymn, there is also a post-lude, but 99% of the time, there is just the organ song, hence my vote for 'after the priest and crucifix have processed out'

i think for your nails you could do sunbeams (in the "God's Light" style, where theyre shootin out of the clouds) and maybe some angel wings?

Hmmmm that's an idea 🤔 I'll see how doable the angel wings are

Hi can you pray for Jesse and Samirah to be able to move on from each other healthily and trust that God will make a way for them if a relationship is meant to happen

this is older but yes I did and can still pray for them

I want to make a nice set of nail art for the Annunciation on tuesday, but I'm not all that great at realistic art, plus I don't have gel nail polish. Any thoughts on a design I should do or colors to use?

I've been lurking, not gone altogether.

And also nail polish isn't make up lol

Plus you have a lot of active followers so if anyone has any ideas

i am just an engagement cow to you now 😭🤧

get milked, boy!

@paula-of-christ have you tried making decals out of images? I’ve done it with album art before. You buy decal paper. Gets some images and size them in a word doc or something and print onto the paper. Cut to size and use water to make the decal. Or something like that there’s probably tutorials on YouTube

For nail art you have to make the photos so small (especially since my nail plates aren't very wide) that the picure ends up being very grainy. A better way of doing (for nail art) it is by making custom stickers by drawing it in nail polish on parchment paper, but that still requires painting skills that I do not have.

You can also do it with translucent/transfer paper, and just stick it on the nail, but you still run into the problem of it being so small that it all blends together/is grainy

that reminds me it has been a while since i publically acknowledged the fact that i never would have gained any amount of followers or influence on here if it werent for Paula and i will be forever grateful to her

😭🥺 I don't think that's true, you were getting picked up by people before I found your first blog
