1. Are you named after anyone? Auris: No. Although I suppose you could consider some of my names that way--Sunwolf, after Miris Honorborn, for example. The wolf is important to her, and sunlight represents my service to her aspect as the Honorborn, rather than the Masked One, the aspect of deceit.
2. When was the last time you cried? Auris: ...ah. I...am not certain. More recently than I would like.
3. Do you have kids? Auris: [smiles fondly] Yes. [further answer redacted; you'll have to wait until I write more of her story]
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Auris: Quite frequently. I find it better to make a dry comment than to get truly upset.
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Auris: How they hold themselves. It reveals a lot about a person if they stand tall or slouch, are relaxed or tense, keep their gaze steady or constantly moving about...
6. What’s your eye colour? Auris: [faintly amused] Blue. This is rather more surface-level than your other questions, isn't it?
7. Scary movies or happy endings? Auris: I prefer tales that end well for their heroes. It brings a greater comfort, that we all might find such in the end.
8. Any special talents? Auris: ...it depends how you define "special." I have...too many deeds attributed to these hands... Ah, but I do play the hurdy-gurdy, perhaps that counts?
9. Where were you born? Auris: Here, in the mountains. In the midst of one of the worse storms they've seen, too.
10. Do you have any pets? Auris: [laughing] Gwrtheyrn would object to being referred to as such, so no.
11. What sort of sports do you play? Auris: Ah, perhaps you've heard of ffonpêl? No? Ah, well, we play it among the tribes--and plenty of other pursuits during the Games: running, swimming, climbing... I, ah...don't participate in the sparring anymore, but most everything else.
12. How tall are you? Auris: Seven foot three, by your measurements. Always was the short one...
13. What was your favourite subject in school? Auris: I've always loved history. It's what inspired me to become a Weaver, after all--to keep those tales, those people and knowledge and traditions alive... Countless people came before us, each of them with a life as rich as our own; how could that not intrigue me endlessly?

THISTLE KHOUSUUH, THE THUNDER DRAGON / DELIVERER OF THE EKANOX ( character is agender! he/she/xey/they pls! )

Thistle hails from a lineage of legendary entities known as the "dragons" and the first— and last— of her specific variant. Throughout the history of the Ekanoxian extinction, dragons were also referred to as “half-beasts”. Typically dragons are humans that have been born from a parent infected by the zombifying Pestilence, resulting in a creature that is spiritually and biologically trapped in an unsteady balance between human and undead. Unfortunately, the birthrate for dragons is low to nonexistent, as is their survival. Thistle, however, is the first dragon in Ekanoxian history that was born to two draconic parents, rather than through infection, Thistle was born with the ability to metaphorically walk between the realm of life and death. Thistle sports a charming and enthusiastic personality, many say that he “lights up” every room he walks in— for better or for worse. His bombastic and eccentric personality can often be both infectious yet sometimes overbearing. Thistle tries his best to be aware of this, but he often can’t help it. Thistle is very upbeat and energetic, he's determined to get things done, carrying a stern determination and Thistle is additionally loyal to his actions and morality. Inathamel is a melting pot of civilization, a city-state sandwiched between three other kingdoms. Malyn has only just finished the training required to join the Brigade and has been assigned to their very first posting. They quickly find that a melting pot of cultures also happens to attract a whole host of emergencies and problems, and everyone is quick to call on the ESB for help. It's a firefighter story in fantasyland because i spend too much time watching shows like 911 okay it'll be wacky and fun and sometimes sad, as the genre goes. The Inathamel Emergency Services Brigade will be posted bi-weekly to a wordpress blog starting sometime in the near future! More updates on that later.
