UK Supreme Court has effectively declared the wording of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 overruled by the wording of the Equality Act 2010, despite the fact that the Equality Act was written with the understanding that the Gender Recognition Act officially changed one's legal gender for all and any remaining purposes, including those pertaining to biological sex, which it defines broadly as including those having undergone transition, but it clearly includes us, so that was taken care of at the time, and is now being undone.

Note also that this legal ruling only affects trans women.

Problem is, it was a blunder by another Nationals MP that had largely gone unnoticed, so they've just dunked on their own brand twice.

There are many difficult things that were replaced with technology, and it wasn't a bad thing. Washing machine replaces washing clothes by hand. Nothing wrong with that. Spinning wheel replaces drop spindle. Nothing wrong with that.

Generative AI replaces thinking. The ability to think for yourself will always be important. People that want to control and oppress you want to limit your ability to think for yourself as much as possible, but continuing to practice it allows you to resist them.

Idt it's being emphasized enough that subjecting international students to random and not entirely predictable ideological tests based on their posting history is going to cause problems for the US higher education industry, which is a little bit of a problem since that's one of the things we actually "export" in some sense.
