💥INTRO💥

Hi !! I'm Poet, and I am here because 1. threads is boring 2. Twitter is politics, and 3. pintrest is my hope in the hopeless

Pronouns: they/he (yall can use them interchangeable)

Age: wouldn't you like to know

Interests: all of them. But some examples would be: fnaf, welcome home, rottmnt, buzzfeed Unsolved/Watcher Entertainment, Will Wood, (indirectly: welcome to nightvale, TMA, and others probably ((its a silly situation))) ((I'm definitely missing things))

Bonus: I occasionally art ?? And even write ?? And a lot of other things too ! I'll sometimes post those maybe ?

My life goals include being a silly little guy and I now own the tag #poetspostings

That is all, so have a good day !

Challenging you all!

Put your music library on shuffle, then list the first five songs that come up in a poll to let people vote for which one they like the most!

Then tag Tumblr friends to keep the game going!

leaving tags open bcim tired rn but ik that usually kills the reblog chain so. if you just see this on the dash absolutely no pressure or baiting but i encourage u to join!!

uhhhh, taging @roxtron @smollillithstuff @send-me-a-puffalope @shiningstarr15 @camzverse and anybody else who wants to join! :3

Links to the songs under the cut!

(Tagging @dietmountiandewds, @driftingvoid-155, @oonanoodle, @anonyb0b, and anyone else who wants to join! ^^)

From a list of over 3000 songs (my likes are a melting pot from hell) wow this list makes my music taste look awful.

whoever stumbles upon this consider yourself tagged

I'd like to formally apologize for the lack of writing updates but I am genuinely going insane, hope that helps

did you know that today, august 31st, isn't only dipper and mabel's birthday, BUT ALSO HATSUNE MIKU'S BIRTHDAY ??

the way I imagine it going is: mabel originally introduced dipper to hatsune miku but he became a really big fan, and has a fictional character crush on her and then when mabel found out they share a birthday she wanted to invite her, while dipper insisted she isn't real and not everything is magic so mabel sent her a fan letter of "dear hatsune miku..." with a sweater attached and a birthday party invite, and she showed up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE ICONS EVER

"I know your school didn't teach you how to write fanfic-" I know this is something said in response to Americans whining about their education system in response to racism, but my school English class actually did have us write an epilogue to a book we were reading as an assignment, so in a way my school did teach me how to write fanfic. I have no point to make with this point and I don't care to i just wanted to share a tidbit about my life

We had to do this with Jane Eyre. For extra nerdiness I did mine as a CS Lewis fusion/crossover and produced “The Janetape Letters” written by a demon trying and failing to tempt Jane to betray herself and despair.

(I had already been writing and reading actual fanfic for a few years by then, so I felt like I was getting away with something rather than having my eyes opened to new possibilities.)

In grade 8, we had to rewrite the end of Lord of the Flies, and it was awesome. I can't remember the exact details, but I went with murder/suicide. One of the things the teacher talked about was trying to match the writing style, characters, and themes of the book. So yes, school did teach me to write fanfic!

I had a 400-level shakespeare professor give us an assignment to write a canon compliant missing soliloquy in Hamlet and then write a paper justifying why we thought it was possible for the speech to be an unspoken part of the story. My soliloquy was Hamlet explaining that he didn't kill Claudius while he was praying because he knew that if he waited any amount of time Claudius's pride would guide him to committing another mortal sin and he wanted Claudius damned, not dead. My justification for this was literally every scene including Claudius has him committing a sin within the logic of the fictional universe *if* you grant that it takes place in a catholic universe (and whether the story takes place in a catholic or protestant universe is pretty important to interpreting the play and is very much up for debate).

He gave extra points for accuracy in EME usage and appropriate switching between iambic pentameter and prose.

As it turns out "can you inhabit the perspective of the characters in a story" and "can you identify stylistic choices that are used to create emphasis and set a scene" are questions that are pertinent both for writing fanfic and for reading comprehension.

The multiple books in Spanish class we had to write alternate endings for. School taught me fanfics first !

Patricia va a California 's alternate endings was an entire crack fic, I don't even know what our group was on.

The other one I did by myself, I just made it gay and called it a day, they were wannabe cowboys what else was I supposed to do?

Well well well, if it isn't the consiquences of my own actions... again.

[I create a comical dust cloud as I take off sprinting, sound effects and all]
