I'll tell you a story.

When I was a kid, and through my teenage years, me and my dad would talk about some of anything in the car.

Girls, band, music, philosophy, religion, jokes, funny or ridiculous stories, science...I like my dad. Actually, I did the same thing with my brother too

I must say I got spoiled by that because now (I'm 42 now) any time I'm in the car with someone, especially someone who I think will understand me, that's exactly what I wanna start doing.

This blog, I guess, is kinda me sitting in the car with you.

We're all cruising through life together, and I might occasionally just pipe up with whatever I happen to be thinking about. If you think of it that way, my blog might make more sense.

No but like, this is the thing about Sam carrying Frodo and the ring up the mountain. It's a cool scene in the movie, but they don't explain what's happening at all. The ring at this point is so heavy Frodo can't even lift his head. It's like essentially a cinder-block he has to carry around his neck. And finally he gives up and Sam offers to carry him and:

DO YOU GUYS GET IT? THE RING IS A BURDEN, BUT FRODO ISN'T. FRODO DOESN'T WEIGH ANYTHING TO SAM. SAM CAN LIFT HIM EASILY!!!! HE'S NOT A BURDEN AT ALL I —

Sexual attraction

  • Top: allosexual - often experiences sexual attraction (a feeling of wanting to have sex with a specific person)
  • Middle: grey-asexual - rarely experiences sexual attraction
  • Bottom: asexual - never experiences sexual attraction
Notes for sexual attraction:
  • There are other types of attraction and corresponding spectra. See: romantic, platonic, aesthetic, sensual
  • Asexuality can shift over time. See: aceflux

Libido

  • Top: high libido - often or strongly experiences libido/sex drive (a feeling of wanting sex, but not directed at a specific person)
  • Bottom: low libido - rarely experiences libido
Notes for libido:
  • Libido can change greatly due to mental health, life circumstances, and various other factors

Sex favourability

  • Top: sex favourable - sex is appealing and enjoyable for them
  • Middle: sex indifferent - does not particularly like or dislike sex
  • Between middle and bottom: sex averse - dislikes sex and finds it not appealing
  • Bottom: sex repulsed - finds sex repulsive or disgusting
Notes for sex favourability:
  • There are other spectra of favourability. See: romance favourability, touch favourability
  • Sex favourability can depend on context. See: aegosexual
  • Sex favourability can shift over time. See: sex fluid

Sex positivity

  • Top: sex positive - believing that "sex is good and people can do what they want"
  • Middle: sex neutral - no particular stance on sex
  • Bottom: sex negative - believing that "sex is bad and sex should be restricted"
Notes for sex positivity:
  • The other spectra are about things the brain/body does. Sex positivity is about ideology

Any combination is possible. Now you know these things exist. If you want to learn more about something, look it up.
