On another day The teacher said: “Today we are going to make something with clay.” “Good!” thought the little boy; He liked clay. He could make all kinds of things with clay: Snakes and snowmen, Elephants and mice, Cars and trucks And he began to pull and pinch His ball of clay.
But the teacher said, “Wait!” “It is not time to begin!” And she waited until everyone looked ready. “Now,” said the teacher, “We are going to make a dish.” “Good!” thought the little boy, He liked to make dishes. And he began to make some That were all shapes and sizes.
But the teacher said “Wait!” “And I will show you how.” And she showed everyone how to make One deep dish. “There,” said the teacher, “Now you may begin.”
The little boy looked at the teacher’s dish; Then he looked at his own. He liked his better than the teacher’s But he did not say this. He just rolled his clay into a big ball again And made a dish like the teacher’s. It was a deep dish.
And pretty soon The little boy learned to wait, And to watch And to make things just like the teacher. And pretty soon He didn’t make things of his own anymore.
Then it happened That the little boy and his family Moved to another house, In another city, And the little boy Had to go to another school.
The teacher said: “Today we are going to make a picture.” “Good!” thought the little boy. And he waited for the teacher To tell what to do. But the teacher didn’t say anything. She just walked around the room.
When she came to the little boy She asked, “Don’t you want to make a picture?” “Yes,” said the little boy. “What are we going to make?” “I don’t know until you make it,” said the teacher. “How shall I make it?” asked the little boy. “Why, anyway you like,” said the teacher. “And any color?” asked the little boy. “Any color,” said the teacher. It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. when I first saw the 2024 fully animated music video for donut hole my brain chemistry was permanently altered I think. it's been 3 months and I'm still not over it. I was Obsessed with that song in like 2015 (especially the self-cover) and seeing it get such an impressive and lovingly made animation after almost 11 years made something in me snap I'm not gonna lie. if by some chance you haven't seen it yet I really do implore you to watch it. this song made baby me feel shrimp emotions and then the new mv made adult me feel even shrimpier emotions.

Cannot stress enough how important it is to eat like you're a teenager again when you get on hormones. You're going through puberty, and sex hormones are fat soluble. Eat! Eat! Eat!
a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.

The horror is over, Green River, specifically the Fossil Butte member is done! The Dawn over Eocene fossil lake reveals WAY too many organisms.
Oh boy, this took TWO streams. Fossil Butte is a very diverse deposit, from small insects over tons of plants to a lot of birds, mammals and fish. Soom shale will be very relaxing by comparison.
Three people helped this time with size charts, pooling together not even ALL the organisms form here.

To tell you how I became Mahmoud in Gaza, at exactly 2:30 in the morning, the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement and bombed the Gaza Strip with fire belts, and very widely, I woke up to the sound of 4 consecutive explosions, which were for a residential building next to us, and in another center on the other side, the doors and windows that were broken before were broken, but we reconstructed them, but they were broken and demolished again!!
How long will we stay to return again, they seek to ruin and we seek to age, they bomb the house and rebuild it!!
Do we think "Israel" brazenly bragging about not allowing humanitarian aid through the border will be enough for people to stop scolding Gazans for making individual/family fundraisers because "it's better to donate to trusted orgs instead" or are they never going to get it?

This is your reminder that without eSims, many people in Gaza cannot reach the rest of the world. To their loved ones overseas to the people who have donated to their fundraisers hoping to keep them alive. The Israeli government has issued repeated communications blackouts, trying to cut us off from Gaza. Even when there are not "official" blackouts, telecommunications are dangerous; Palestinians like Medo have died in makeshift tent cafes trying to access the internet and reach us. In Gaza, infrastructure has been severely damaged, despite the brave and hard work of people in Paltel on the ground. Do not think that because you read a headline about a communications blackout ending, eSims are not needed; Israel has already laid groundwork to cut Gazans off from the world - eSims work independent from the Israeli government and can provide data and phone service, an essential lifeline.
