Edouard Molyneux designed this spectacular and slinky evening gown in 1930. Made entirely of a deep burgundy red silk velvet the dress is entirely bias cut with long trailing sleeves and a gathering of the velvet on one hip. Clearly, a garment doesn’t need cut outs or super short hem lines to be potently sexy.

Just imagine being able to swan into a holiday party wearing this knockout of a dress.
