redtail ramblings

@redtail-lol

Hi! I'm Red or Redtail! I'm a label collector and I'm new to the coining business. This was intended as a coining blog but it's mostly my personal blog now. Do not start discourse on my coining posts please, leave it for my discourse-y posts. Read at least the Do Not Follow before you follow me pleaseee

Proper Blog Introduction

Hello, and welcome to Redtail's ramblings and occasional coinings! Enjoy your stay.

Free Help for Palestine - A communal document created by me and editable by everyone for finding free ways to help Palestine! Mostly composed of petitions at the moment. If you can't donate or just want more ways to help Palestine it's very helpful.

About Me and the Blog:

  • I mostly will be coining orientations instead of genders because there are so many genders and the orientation market is low, and will mostly be coining labels that apply to me. However, I am willing to coin labels that don't apply to me. Please feel free to ask, and if I'm uncomfortable, I will just deny it.
  • Some posts aren't centered around me coining so sorry for any clutter
  • I am a perisex bigendermeld girl + enby and I use she/they pronouns
  • I have a label collection/hoard of 300+ that I loving named The Boxfort Palace. I may start a third blog just for my hoard. Or I may just keep it on the doc
  • Some of my important identities are asexual (fully, absolutely no sexual attraction), cupiosexual, demiromantic, lunian/mspec lesbian, bi lesbian, poly lesbian, and omni lesbian, and I specifically use full-moon springtide versions of all these labels. I do not identify as an mspec mono because there is nothing monoromantic about my lesbian attraction. I don't have an issue with the mspec mono label existing but I don't think it applies to me.
  • This blog supports aspec people, xenogenders, mspec gays/lesbians, gaybians, mspec hets, gayhets/straightbians and lesboys/turigirls. I am an mspec lesbian and ace.
  • This blog is NOT anti-paraphilia. I believe people with genuinely harmful and nonconsensual paras need access to help and support, and aren't inherently evil. I also believe paraphilias that are strange but not harmful or nonconsensual are fine. Do what makes you happy. Pro-contact harmful paraphilias, this is NOT about you. Please seek help and do not abuse.
  • I am Crit-Inclus and seek to understand people before I fully accept them. If I ask you questions about your identity, I mean no disrespect
  • I am predominantly white and am not comfortable with making things specifically for any POC because it does not feel like my place. If my blog grows big and people want to use my blog for visibility, post on your own blog and I will reblog it.
  • Because I am perisex I will not coin intersex specific terms, though you may ask for flag design help and reblogs for visibility
  • I am autistic and self diagnosed, I haven't updated this in a while but I've given up on not saying I'm autistic without diagnosis a long time ago, lmao. I got 153 on my most recent RAADS-R taking I def have autism
  • Still anti ABA and anti autism speaks fuck those guys
  • This blog is anti Boeing we hate Boeing in this household (if you're confused ask me about the 737 MAX I'll go on for hours)
  • I am a singlet so I'm not gonna do system specific labels. I will reblog system labels upon request
  • I do NOT coin radqueer identities. Radqueers can request non-radqueer identities because there's no reason to say you can't request something because of a belief. Even if it's harmful it's none of my business I'm the coiner. But I am anti-rq so you choose if you want me making the term
  • You may ask me to coin anything you would like if it isn't on here. It is my decision if I do it.
  • I am an adult, but the blog is safe for older minors
  • People in my DNI are allowed to use my flags and labels. I don't believe in gatekeeping who's allowed to use a term based on personal beliefs and opinions. I just don't wish to have personal interactions with you guys. It's up to you if you want to use flags made by an mspec lesbian who accepts xenogenders, lesboys/turigirls and the like, gaybians, and other complex contradictory identities.
  • I would appreciate if everyone who follows me can like, reblog, or comment on a post before or shortly after following. This is to make sure I don't follow back porn accounts that won't read this. I might block people who do not follow this rule because I will assume you are a porn account that just wants to send me spam links, especially if you're a blank blog.
  • Free Palestine. Fuck Isreal.

DNI:

  • Pedophiles (I'm not calling you MAPs.) Whether you're non-offending or not, please just don't interact with me. I support you guys getting the help you need but as a minor I think it's best we don't interact beyond maybe some likes and a request or two. I'm still too close to being a kid
  • Anyone who is going to start discourse. I don't care if you're proship, antiship, exclus, radinclus, radqueer, or anything. Don't start discourse. You can only continue discourse that I start. You can use my terms if they apply to you, like my stuff, reblog it, and comment, as long as you aren't starting an argument.
  • Solicitors looking to promote any sexual services. I am asexual, leave me alone. I don't want your porn. I will bodyshame you.
  • Anybody looking to e-date. I'm arospec, specifically demiromantic, so approaching me with romantic intent means you'll have to wait for something that'll never happen.

DO NOT FOLLOW:

  • Queerphobic people
  • Racists/ALM/Anti-BLM.
  • Sexists/anti feminists
  • Radfems (you aren't real feminists, you're misandrists, AND you're misogynists, all at once)
  • Zionists/Pro-Israel
  • People who believe in transmisogyny but not transmisandry/transandrophobia
  • People who believe trans men hold any significant power over cis women or over trans women
  • Idiots who think only transfems can use the tr slur
  • People who think femboy is a slur or is about transfems. There is a 0% difference between calling a transfem a femboy and calling a transfem a boy. Femboy is an identity. It's entitled to think trans women can dictate what men identify as based on the bigotrd actions of others weaponizing gnc men's identities to misgender others.
  • Exclusionists (including mspec lesbian/gay/enbian exclus, lesboy and turigirl exclus, and gaybian exclus.)
  • Incels of any type. This doesn't refer to anybody who just hasn't lost their virginity yet, but specifically the kind of people who hold it against the people they're attracted to. This is usually straight men and incels are often a misogynistic hate group.
  • Radqueer/transx/transid and supporters
  • Pro-contact or Comp-contact Big 3 Paras
  • Anti-contact non-harmful, consensual paras
  • Pro-AI art
  • Proship/profic

  • Anyone in the DNI

I follow people back blindly so please don't follow me if I'm going to have to see gross things on the feed.

If uppercase letters are capital letters then what the FUCK are lowercase letters

Literally lower case, fortunately!

BUT WHAT WERE THEY CALLED TO DISTINGUISH THEM FROM CAPITALS PRIOR TO THE CASE

ooh ok I know this one, the technical terms for upper and lower case letters are majuscule and minuscule, which goes all the way back to when they were essentially two different latin alphabets that were not combined together in written text in the way we do now. there's actually no specific opposite term to capital that applies to minuscule letters.

however... since capital comes from the latin caput meaning head because capitals are used at the head of a sentence or page, if we wanted to have an opposite term for lower case letters we could take it from the latin word for body, corpus. therefore, something like "corpusal letters" maybe?

The u in caput was replaced with an i so... Corpisal.

I deeply dislike that paragender has the wrong definition now and it's affecting demigirl's definition in some people's eyes. Here's a screenshot from where paragender was coined and what I think it should mean:

So I get where the current system of 1-50% is demigender, 51-100% is paragender comes from, because para is near. But I never saw it as that. Demigender is when you're partially a given gender identity. Can be any %. Paragender is when your gender is adjacent to, similar to, or close to being that identity, but isn't. This could include demigender people who are a majority that gender (especially those who are very close, like 80-99%) but it can ALSO include people who are proxvir and juxera. Solarians, lunarians, and stellarians. Nonbinary men and women, and xenoboys and xenogirls who feel like they aren't quite binary but they're very close. Where a demigender person will always feel like they are partially that identity, a paragender person may not feel like it at all, but rather something close to it. Where a demigender persn would feel like only part of their gender is that identity, while the rest is something else (often agender but can be anything), a paragender person may feel like they are one singular full gender, and that gender is slightly to the left of being the named identity.

I think this way of defining is better because it is a bit more vague, so it doesn't have to exclude people using the % system - being 51%-99% a given gender CAN make you feel like you're adjacent to or close to that identity but not quite. But this way of defining would also include more people under demi- and paragender. And I think it gives the two identities more diffence in their concept and what sort of vibe they would have, while still including the possibility of overlap.

On top of that, Libragender isn't a defined % either, it's more like being agender but aligned or with trace amounts of gender. I think it would be like oriented aroace a little bit, or like para-oriented. So it could mean:

1. As used by some, a low % of gender, faint gender, or very weak feelings of being a given gender. Or, being partially a certain gender, but vast majority of yourself is agender, in other words.

2. You do not identify as any gender, but your presentation, preferred pronouns, current body, if and how you want to transition, and anything else is aligned in some way, so that is important to you and your identity (ex, AMAB agender who wants to take estrogen and grow out their hair feels librafeminine because they are transfem, despite not identifying as a girl)

3. You have no gender, but feel as if your nothingness itself is somehow aligned. It could be similar to 2, but those factors influencing your sense of gender alignment despite there being no gender, it could feel like an absence of a specific identity despite being the absence of all, or an expression of "there is no gender, BUT if there WAS, it would be this."

If this still doesn't make sense, here's a visual:

This is purple.

[Image ID: A solid purple square. End ID.]

These are all demipurple. They are not the only possible demipurples, but they are all variations of demipurple.

[Image ID: 3 squares that are partially purple and partially white. The first has more purple, the last has more white, and the middle is about half. End ID.]

These are all parapurple. They are not the only possible ways to be parapurple but they are all variations of parapurple.

[Image ID: 3 purple squares. The first has a short white strip at the top. The second is the color at 89% opacity layered over white, making it appear lighter. Blurple text is over it that says "(opacity 89%)." The third is a slightly hue-shifted shade of purple that is more bluish. End ID.]

These are both librapurple. I could only do 2 images because I'm on mobile and couldn't think of anymore anyways. As said before not the only ways but they're both different ways.

[Image ID: 2 squares. One is a very light purple. One is an off-white color that is tinted purple. End ID.]

I know I'm part of the community that doesn't care a lot about definitions but I actually do care. I think that definitions are important, and that even though it shouldn't be the end all be all of policing people's individual identities, the definition is an important guide, and I think libra and para have both been lost in translation. I think this revision restores the original meanings and intentions, explains them better, and is more inclusive and subjective experience-based. Including possibility of overlap while also retaining more distinct-ness from one another, just in terms of idea and concept.

how dare you draw yourself as a funny online character and make yourself fat 😡 as we all know you have to draw your personas looking exactly like how you do in real life

you can make your persona skinny as cardboard and nobody bats an eye but god forbid you draw yourself as a purple cat furry and give yourself a big fat tummy

this person is just retweeting shit like this and it's like why should i care if some skinny twink in real life wants to draw themselves a silly online character with big fat tits and thighs that looks nothing like them. literally level 1 chronically online discourse

i, for one, do not care if someone has a fat fetish or whatever because i work almost 40 hours a week

Twitter users: *participate in Thin Defaultism*

The same twitter users: "I'm actually a good fat ally. You're the fatphobic one for making your persona bigger than you are instead of smaller."

That fucking DIY wheelchair post is going around again, and none of the people reblogging it are reblogging a version that talks about the risks of using homemade mobility aids that don't fit you properly - such as that they can make your pain worse or cause pressure sores that lead to terrible infections.

I did see a couple of additions about how cool and punk it is. I don't know, is getting sepsis punk?

you're absolutely right but arguably getting sepsis from the mobility aid you cobbled together, the one that's both the only thing thing letting you actually live life to the fullest extent possible and the thing that will kill you is the kind of thing that sounds like a really poetic way to go out

Oh, you can just fuck off entirely.

It's not "poetic". You're just dead.

You are, moreover, dead in an incredibly painful, awful way.

Do you understand what infected bed sores and sepsis do to a person? Do you really? Do you understand how much pain they would be in? Do you understand how hard it would be to be their loved ones watching them the hospital as their organs shut down?

Do you understand how painful it'd be to be in a chair that's causing spinal damage for hours and hours every day?

Disabled people and their pain do not exist to be a poetic metaphor for your consumption. It's just suffering.

"Dangerous information is being spread without any of the necessary information on how to do it safely and it's going to cause a bunch of disabled people pain." "Yeah but if they die isn't that kinda poetic?" literally asinine reply from that person sorry you had to deal with that OP

I already reblogged the post I found this on but I have to talk about it

[Image ID/transcript: A tumblr screenshot of a reblog's tags, in theme Goth Rave. The tags read as follows: #Literally saw a terf compare penises to 'guns don't kill people people kill people' #Like sorry if you think a penis is a weapon you are so divorced from reality.]

This is possibly the worst comparison ever. And to be clear I'm bashing the TERF not the user who put the tags here.

Gun control is a thing that's actually plausible. You can't expect people to take off their penises and leave them at home the way you can expect people not to bring a gun somewhere. And you can't just ban 50% of the population from public spaces because they have a body part.

Also, like we say all the time when people bring up trans women in bathrooms... Rapists don't care, they will just go into places they're not allowed. People also say that about guns, but you can make it significantly harder to obtain a firearm. You cannot make it difficult to obtain a penis. Approximately half of all people are born with one. No one is born with a pistol.

And like the tags said... A penis isn't a weapon. A firearm is. You have no reason to have a gun except to shoot it. If you're hunting or at the shooting range that's fine. If you have it in your house just in case, that's fine. Anywhere else, and it seems like you probably intend to shoot a person with it. Dicks have multiple purposes, one is sex, which should be consensual, and one is peeing. However, unlike a firearm, it is attached to your body so bringing it somewhere you won't be fucking or pissing isn't suspicious like bringing a gun somewhere you don't need to be shooting is.

And penises are no more capable of harm than any other body part, even in the context of sexual assault. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" is a terrible argument because the gun gives someone the easiest means to kill people, however penises do not make it any easier to commit sexual assault. People without dicks can and do assault others with or without dicks. People with dicks don't always use them in an assault. Penises don't rape, people do, because the penis doesn't make you any more capable. The reason cishet men are the demographic most likely to rape isn't because they have penises, it is because they are the most privileged demographic. They may believe they are entitled to anyone they're attracted to, or they may be exercising their ability to hold power over someone through violence. And they get the least consequences if they're white.

I'm preaching to the choir I know but like jesus christ that's so stupid.

oppositional sexism is rotting people's minds. Saying masculinity isn't rewarded in people who it's not assigned to doesn't mean femininity is not punished. "Femininity is punished regardless of who performs it" doesn't necessitate "masculinity is rewarded regardless of who performs it." The first can be true without the second. I wish more people would realize this.

So much fucking discourse is just "i like pancakes" "so you hate waffles?" bullshit

Once people realize men and women aren't stark opposites ill be able to live peacefully. I feel like that sentiment is also why ppl don't understand multigender folk who are both men and women. I think there's a connection between oppositional sexism and transmultiphobia but im too tired rn to figure it out.

Avatar

Oh most definitely. Oppositional sexism cannot handle multigender manwomen. Because oppostional sexism operates on the idea that men and women are opposite, and antithetical to one another. "If women experience one thing, men must experience the other" is an ideology that falls apart if someone is both.

Everytime someone treats organs as inherently good or inherently bad I want to throw someone off the cliff. And it makes me even more mad when I see trans people doing it.

“Vagina good and pure . Penis dangerous and evil.” You should be sent to the torture pit.

The appendix is inherently evil and it makes me uncomfortable to be around people who haven’t had it removed. <- this is what yall sound like to me. Yall are just saying absurd statements.

The appendix being inherently evil is somehow more reasonable (not to say it IS reasonable, just closer to being reasonable than penis) because the risk/return ratio isn't very good. Usually more enjoyable shitting vs the risk of it just exploding is... A wrinkle evolution didn't iron out. Penises don't explode and kill you.

Sorry that's not the point I just find it funny that somehow the absurd example used to illustrate the absurdity of bioessentialists is ever so slightly more grounded and less absurd than the actual bioessentialist take is.

In case no one wants to read my long ass reblog:

I think we could solve a lot of discourse if people realized that "man" and "woman" as social classes are fundamentally different from "man" and "woman" as gender identities. You can be a man and not belong to the social class of man. You can be a woman and not belong to the social class of woman. People who fail to meet expectations of either class are put into the Freak class. Patriarchal oppression wasn't built to accommodate gender nonconformity, trans people, or intersex variation.

"Masculinity is rewarded" have you ever spoken to a transmasc or a butch or a tomboy or any masculine woman/person perceived as a woman. Have you ever spoken to a gnc transfem.

"Have you ever talked to x, y, z/***person perceived as a woman***"

Femininity IS punished, being perceived as a woman is punished, gender non congruence is punished. Ask a cis man if 'masculinity is punished' and unless they are a fucking MRA they will tell you ofc not. Cis men are rewarded for presenting masc. Stealth trans men disappear. Stealth trans women are victims of misogyny. For masculinity in general to be punished, the world we live in would be systematically misandristic. On the contrary we live in a misogynistic world. I love when trans discourse loops back around to terf/mra rhetoric.

It's almost like... conforming to your assigned gender is what's rewarded 🤔

Im not denying that misogyny is far more present in society but the statement "Masculinity is rewarded" is generally used to invalidate the oppression of transmascs and masculine women which is pretty fucking cringe! And that's who we're talking about, not cis men, of course masculinity is rewarded when it's a cis man, but it sure as hell ain't rewarded when it's literally Anyone Else

"femininity is punished" and "masculinity is rewarded" are not the same sentence and I think most of the people disagreeing with you OP, are people who think they are the same.

In the context of patriarchy, femininity is seen as below masculinity, that much is true. But they are also expected for women and men respectively to conform to, and not conforming is also punished.

Perisex cis men are punished when they are feminine or don't perform masculinity. Masculinity is rewarded in them, because they are the gender identity with privilege in patriarchal society

Perisex cis women are punished for both. Women are expected to perform femininity, but because they are also the social class below (peri-cis) men, they are punished for it by misogyny. But they are also punished for masculinity due to it being nonconforming. You're seen as leaving your assigned place and that is not rewarded. For cis women, there is a small window that is rewarded, that is feminine, but with the smallest sliver of "masculinity" (really it's neutral trait androgyny) and a bashing of the hyperfeminine. No-makeup makeup or light makeup, "boyish" girl clothes, and one slightly masculine hobby is the rewarded window, and it usually is most rewarded when the woman in question brings down other women, or if she doesn't do it herself, part of her "reward" is people comparing her favorably to other women.

In this case, femininity is both enforced and punished. That's one of the many ways misogyny operates - femininity is seen as lesser, has many negative traits like vanity, jealousy, and cattiness assigned to it among other things, but it is also simultaneously enforced, and you're punished if you aren't feminine as well.

Trans men are punished for masculinity because they are trans. The right sees them as women, so they're leaving their assigned gender role. Pseudo-leftists want them to be less masculine because they find themselves uncomfortable with masculinity. It is punished because of transphobia. Trans men are punished for femininity as well. If you're feminine, then your identity as a man is invalidated by everyone because if you were really a man, you would "act like one" and "make an effort." This is again transphobia. Add in the same things cis women go through when people assume they are cis women

Trans women are punished for masculinity even when they are not performing it, by virtue of being AMAB. When they are, it is the same as with trans men - they "must be faking" if they don't "put in the effort to look like a real woman." Trans women are punished for femininity as well, because of transphobia. They are leaving their assigned role.

Neutral trait androgyny is only rewarded in small doses. Being entirely ambiguous is punished because it is confusing to people. Mixed trait androgyny is punished even more because it is even more confusing.

Nonbinary people cannot fit in either of the boxes and so they are punished no matter what

Intersex people are forced into one of the boxes, in some of the most invasive ways, which is punishment itself for not fitting. But they never fully fit, so they are punished for the traits they have or don't have that don't fit. If they try to leave the assigned box, not only is it difficult, but they are also punished no matter what they do.

Masculinity is rewarded in peri-cis men, and those assumed as such, and NOT rewarded in others BECAUSE of its higher standing above femininity. It is *exclusive* in patriarchy, and if the "wrong" people attempt to be masculine, they aren't rewarded for disrespecting the exclusivity. They are punished for trying to sit in the King's throne. They are also punished when they go back down to their lower class standing because their class itself is punishment.

Begging everyone else to learn oppression and privilege are not a perfectly binary this-that, oppostional thing. You need to kill oppositional sexism in your mind. "All women are oppressed for being women" actually doesn't mean "all men are privileged for being men." "Masculinity isn't always rewarded when the wrong people perform it" doesn't actually mean "femininity isn't punished!"

I think some people also need to learn that generally, in oppressive systems, moving UP is made difficult or impossible, but moving DOWN isn't. When men perform femininity or realize they're actually women, they can be moved DOWN in social class, because they failed or refused to perform the required gender roles. When women perform masculinity or realize they're actually men, they are NOT granted access to the societal class of "man." They cannot move UP. Oppression relies on keeping people down - letting people move up is more dangerous for the system than letting people move down

Which brings me to the last thing too: the social class of "man" and the gender of "man" are not the same. The social class of "man" is for perisex cisgender men who perform masculinity to the minimum expected degree. They may be punished in some ways for not performing it enough, but generally aren't stripped of their social class entirely until they become too feminine or are intersex. The social class of "woman" is also not the same as the gender. "Woman" as a social class is for majority cis women, sometimes transfems who pass very well and transmascs + transneutrals that look like women so they can pretend they're women. Women who are too masculine or too visibly intersex are also kicked out.

Which leaves a lot of people in this secret third class: freaks. Intersex people, trans people who are visibly trans, nonbinary people, trans men who aren't stealth, and gender nonconforming people of all genders and modalities, and other degendered minorities who do not belong in either social class.

37 people were illegally detained in Bellingham, Washington for the ‘crime’ of speaking Spanish. This is so fucking inhumane and cruel

⬆️ racial unity now is matching funds for the detainees and their families. please help if you can.

it's shameful how long i had to look to find an article covering this story that gives more information besides saying "37 undocumented workers were arrested wednesday." cascadia news and the AP were the only sources i found that include any journalism whatsoever beyond the police report.

Hey, this is local for me. It would mean a lot if you could help out even a little bit.

This is the SAVE act, it will ban mail based and online voter registration. It will encourage voter purges and require either a birth certificate or a passport to be presented in order to be registered. The act will be voted on in the house any day now.

This is just straight up voter suppression, this is a deconstruction of democracy. This is vile. By passing this act it will be incredibly easy to suppress the registration of people of color, and trans people among other examples; it will be barely an inconvenience.

Contact your local representative and tell them how you won’t stand up to injustice, to blatant discrimination and censorship. History has its eyes on you

ibispaint use to be so fun and easy to use when i was like 12 and using my finger to draw on my phone screen. i was popping out like 30 drawings a week using this shit. yet now anytime my hand briefly touches the screen it’s like im being launched 30000 miles across the canvas and all the brushes are butt ugly

crying theres like 1 good brush and i dont even like it and i gotta fucking watch an ad to use it

Is sketchbook free on ur tablet or not?

Sally just became a big sister to her baby brother Mohammed. Their mother Laila @laylaayman-blog2 has been fundraising trying to support their family through the awful conditions in Gaza, but it is hard for her to keep promoting her cause while taking care of a newborn, and donations have slowed as a result.
