Yeah probably if you haven't lived the life of a trans man seeing people go "I don't like when people joke about hating men" or something along that line, it probably sounds mra ish.
But in my everyday life, people only address me as a man when they are using it to insult me. I forgot to do XYZ? That's me being a dumb man. I'm talking too long? I'm mansplaining. Etc etc. These are the only times in my real life that people will address me as a man. That's why we use the term 'malgendering', that's why many hate those "trans inclusive misandry" jokes. Because that's the only thing people are trans inclusive in.
if the only transmasculine inclusion you do is to insult us, you don't actually support transmasculine people. You may, in fact, be anti-transmasculine.
"Are you TME or TMA?"
Girl, that's TMI

People calling me specifically a "theyfab" is really quite funny considering I explicitly don't use they/them and I have also never publicly stated or implied my AGAB.
People just assume I was assigned female because I talk about supporting transmascs & trans men having an important place in the queer community. Intracommunity discourse people assume anyone who disagrees with them has a vagina. Some of you really are not beating the transandrophobia & straight-up misogyny allegations. I'm not even transmasc, I just have, you know, compassion for my fellow queers?
talking about transmasc issues is crazy because if your post gets popular you'll have someone say "your issues are real but you shouldn't use a word for it" and the very next reply will be something along the lines of "I'm going to rape you and get you pregnant"
My sister in Christ trans men are constantly infantilized and forcibly feminized and being masculine is punished by our peers because inside queer spaces it’s always ‘men yucky’ or ‘men evil’ like friendly reminder that not all masculinity is praised and not all femininity is punished
Most trans people were forced into a role they didnt want. Forcemasc is directed to transmascs and butches, not trans women. Same way around with forcefem.
While I fully agree that transfemininity of course carries levels of oppression not faced by trans men, the argument presented in the screenshot just completely erases the concept of trans men facing transphobia
Do you really think that society favors masculinity from those it considers women?
Do you really think being transgender men, or for that matter, butches, are treated BETTER than cis women?
If there is another transmasc having an existential crisis out there that needs to hear this. You didn't 'take the easy way out' by transitioning, because living as a trans man or a transmasc is not easier than living as a cis woman. There is only one thing you are really and truly escaping when you transition, and it’s the misery of going through the song and dance of pretending you're cis.
as a minority of the transfem community, what resources do afab transfems get that they would no longer get if they didn't ID as transfem?
It's not rlly about resources, it's about what identity they feel fits them best. An intersex person who was designated AFAB at birth and gets on estrogen, gets feminizing surgeries, and overall presents as feminine probably wouldn't want to identify as transmasc, would they?
really hate the exorsexism that says you can't be more than one gender. that if you're a woman you can't be a icky man, and if you're a man, you're actually an oppressor and you Definitely can't be a woman. How about shut up
