it genuinely makes me sad that “happy wife, happy life” is a phrase that means “I make my wife happy because if I don’t she’ll be annoying and fuck up my day” when it should mean “I keep my wife happy because seeing her smile genuinely makes my heart light up with mirth, I love hearing her joyful laugh, I love making her happy”

I want to try so many little hobbies. Candle making, soap making, basket weaving, wood carving, book binding, baking, weaving, I want to try them all.

I almost made a post about this the other day (unless i actually did and totally forgot) but there’s so many

I was going to make a list, but then i realized this is a good time to share this book

Making Stuff and Doing things is a whole collection of old punk DIY zines about making and doing just about anything, even things you probably never knew you wanted to do.

Book binding? In there.

Making bowls from old vinyl records? I made a whole ton for my brother’s grad party last year.

Basics of guitar? Making rubber stamps? Silk screening? Composting? Homemade beer, root beer, and wine? Soymilk?? Quill pens??? All in there.

Since it’s more punk, it doesn’t have a ton of the folksy, cottage vibes/hobbies, but it’s all about being resourceful and sustainable, which they both have in common.

If i ever need to do anything I’m not sure of, I double check this book to see if there’s anything in there. It’s one of the only books on diy I’ve ever needed.

Don't flirt with me, I'll start daydreaming about us fucking.

Just fucking? What a luck! If I really like her, my imagination is so wild that I start making movies in my mind about our ultimate love story.

we need to get more normal about nonsexual nudity i think

kind of missing the point pretty badly actually

i mean i kinda think insisting on not seeing boobs at all is kind of lame weenie behavior is the thing

this might sound harsh but imo that's just not a realistic accommodation to expect in a scenario where we're trying to destigmatize naked human bodies

people will come up with 10 thousand excuses on why they don't actually agree with something when they pretend to do so. anyway I hope people realized that a lot of the stigmatization against nudity/nude bodies is quite literally the result of colonization/imperialism and overall fascism.

what I mean by that is colonizers viewed the nudity of black and indigenous people as "obscene" and inherently sexual because of the avid dehumanization of them. it's literally just fascist bullshit spread in people's brains SPECIFICALLY AMERICANS. (my European gf has told me many times that America's weirdness about nudity was strange and I agree)

another point: second hand dysphoria, while it is a thing, is entirely on you and is 100% manageable and saying other people's bodies, especially if they are other trans men with breasts, makes you "dysphoric" you need to genuinely push pass that and grow up and stop getting uncomfortable over other bodies. as harsh as that is I'm sure other people don't like being told they're dysphoria inducing.

There’s truly nothing better than hearing, “I love you,” right after doing something completely ridiculous. Like, what do you mean I’m still lovable even when I trip over my own feet, butcher a joke, or get lost in my own head? That you watch me fumble through life in the most absurdly trans girl way possible—overthinking, giggling, maybe getting a little too flustered when you tease me—and still think, yeah, that’s my girl.

It’s the kind of love that makes me feel safe—like I don’t have to be anything but myself, awkward and all. Like all those years of feeling like I had to perform who I was just melt away when you look at me like that. Your affection isn’t conditional on how well I pass, how smooth my words are, or how much I second-guess myself. It just is. And honestly? That’s the kind of love I never thought I’d have, the kind I want to drown in, to lose myself in completely.

And maybe—just maybe—it makes me want to tease you right back, to see you get just as flustered as I do. To pull you close, press you against me, and whisper, what if I do something even dumber? Would you still love me then? Just to hear you say yes.

Threatening a trans man who probably hasn't even heard of this word because you're mad it exist.

Yeah and you're the normal one here?

Actually I'd say YOURE the embarrassing one for thinking murder threats, even in exaggeration, are normal things to say about someone who didn't do jack fucking shit to you.

sighs deeply

i dont think you realize that trans men/mascs are prevented from transitioning (including being abused into not transitioning) because we "look too pretty to be masculine/a man"

this is not "male privilege", its the relief of not being constrained by transphobia any longer
