Following on from transgender day of visibility (tdov) earlier this week, I wanted to make a list to share wonderful works from authors who write trans inclusive fic in the ppcu fandom

Trans people are here, trans people are real and trans people are important. Especially now when a lot of the world is rallying against us. Please remember to show your love and your support for trans people in your community, in your country, in this world. Please stand up for us as allies, and as friends, when you see we're facing adversity. It means so much that you do. There is power in community, please never forget that.

my term paper for this class is "Walk Like a Man: Bruce Springteen and the performance of gender" and I'll be walking about bruce's relationship with masculinity, performing gender, and the intersection of gender and class.

This was one of the most fun fanfiction I’ve written in a long fucking time. Going to suspend disbelief really freaked me up because I’m the type of person who needs it to be realistic when I’m writing lol

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like "this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol" when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every "classical" looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad

In case you're curious here's what I mean.

a/n: i’ve been thinking for ages that i’d love to read about how the ppcu boys might be if you were diabetic (hi hello it’s me 👋🏻) and then the disability visibility challenge by @romanarose / @cosmic-kid-in-motion popped up on my feed and the words just poured out of me! i’ve been diabetic for fifteen years, was diagnosed when i was seventeen, and have had my self confidence absolutely fucking shattered because of it (yay), so this is very much a self-indulgent story, and it has me feeling super nervous to post! this is obviously fiction, but t1d unfortunately is not; if you are also diabetic (in any of its forms) then i see you and i love you and i hope you all have a frankie of your own 🩵

*disclaimer: a chronic illness like diabetes is experienced in vastly different ways by everyone, so it is highly subjective and therefore what is in this story will not be a universal experience, so i’ve tried to keep it as general as possible. also important to note that i was diagnosed and am treated in the uk, so maybe some equipment or medical terms will differ from the rest of the world. that being said, as long as we’re managing, then we’re okay! 🩵 resources linked at the bottom for anyone who’s interested in learning a little more!

This is so funny because this is one of the cases in which you have an idea for a story for a while and then boom! Someone writes it!

A year or something ago, I saw someone talk about the use of “blue“ with the color system to be used for medical stuff and I had the idea of someone writing readers’s blood sugar crashing during sex

How nice it is to see that someone else wrote it! This was such a treat to read and sweet protective Frankie has my heart forever!!
