I can't believe some guys accused the Uchiha of being too "self centred" and "unable to see beyond themselves" and then went and carved massive sculptures of their own faces on a mountain.

You literally made that up. And I remember what Hashirama did, he built the hidden village system from the ground up. Sure it had its flaws, but it was worlds better than when it was just clans fighting each other.
