I think what I'm most trying to work on is myself, but it's not quite making me happy (yet) 😭 and this was obviously meant for creative endeavours so here is a piece I'm proud of—an excerpt from Major Rorilee's Guide to Appeasing the Gods, that I've written for scar-crossed lovers 🖤
Early life on the continent believed that the Old Gods had once done them a great injustice. Stories passed down through families by word of mouth, in the area we now know as Tyrrendor Province, tell us that early settlers here believed we once were born with four arms, four legs, and two faces. The Old Gods, fearing our strength and power, created a plan to split the humans in half to great success. After doing so, we were broken—filled with despair and loneliness. We would go days without seeing sunlight, for we could not summon the courage to step outside.

“why do you ship them? I thought the ship wasn’t canon?” bro we’re talking about fictional characters, who don’t actually exist in real life, from a media that focuses solely on fictional events that are not real either. so what if these two made-up characters didn’t kiss in their source material? they have lots of nasty gay sex on archive of our own and thousands of novel length slow burn enemies to lovers fics written about them. the fanon content at this point far exceeds the whole canonical franchise. the problem isn’t “it’s not canon” the problem is that you don’t allow yourself to let go of canon and enjoy the wonder of fan contents that are just as good / valid

One of Xaden’s hands was snug against Liana, the other wrapped tightly around Violet’s waist.

You're a millennial, you have double digit WIPs (both fic and original) and you're an outdoors girlie but not a nature girlie (i.e. sitting outside, walks, but not full on multi day hikes etc)

Definitely a millennial, though almost all my coworkers are Gen Z, so I've taken on a lot of their colloquialisms haha. I have...close to double digit WIPs. I guess it depends, if we're classing outlines then yes, totally haha. ✔️
And yes! You're so right on the outdoors/nature thing! I love day walks (even more now I'm disabled and can't do as many) but camping is NOT for me. I'm a notoriously high-maintenance gal, which I think also comes from being chronically ill too—it takes a lot more to be comfortable and also not to die, which I never considered until more recently! And also, I hate bugs, lol 🌞🌲

Hi there!
I planned to write here when i started to read fear & flame because i was HOOKED since chapter one. I ate up the whole series (including Xaden's pov and truth & talon) in the past 48 hour. I admit i did not sleep that much but it was so so sooo worth it.
I loved Remi, i completely adored her and every time that girl cried, i did the same. She felt too similar and close to home. Now i can't imagine reading Fourth Wing with knowing she isn't a canon character.
I loved how everything was written, it's truly a piece of art, and i feel so lucking because i found it out. It changed something in my brain and i don't think i will ve able to move on and go on with my day without thinking about this masterpiece.
The plottwists had me gasping like a fish out of the water, and the soft reassurance was a balm to my soul. I'm honestly still in shock from the last paragraph in truth & talon.
All in all, thank you for blessing humanity (or atleast fourth wing girlies and dudes) with this, i certainly will be forever grateful.
