sometimes I think that the reading of the letter was so impactful not only because it was physical proof stede’s love for ed. but also because the way it clearly moved ed was simultaneously resounding declaration of ed’s love for stede— specifically as the MOST stede that stede can be. over-the-top, unabashed, love-letters-in-bottles stede is the stede that ed loves
