there's a post on here that's like "the worst thing a piece of fiction can be is mean", and while I agree with that, I think it being insincere is just as bad. nothing more obnoxious than a story that's constantly sneering and rolling its eyes at its own genre in a bid to seem clever and above it all.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS OKAY i celebrated on friday at work and had a small one with some family from out of town yesterday who found out last minute! i got a couple figurines, more yarn and a book of patterns to to make stuff with!
they said that they knew we (my sister and I) had a rough childhood but they were proud of us seeing how we were doing, which i didnt expect to hear but until now i didnt know they really thought about us much since we only got to see them a handful of times, so it was kind of sweet to hear. Its been on the rough side, but im hoping things will get a little better esp bc ive never had family try to interact with me so much before
