It’s weird that we keep trying to armchair diagnose asshole behaviour with mental health labels and in doing so throw people with mental health conditions under the asshole bus when we could just call a guy an asshole and leave it at that
It just seems far more straightforward, you know
Like yeah I know it’s wild but having narcissistic personality disorder or low empathy isn’t actually worse than or equal to being a straight up asshole, it’s like your choices and actions dictate who you are more than the qualities you’re born with or something

honestly, last year one of the best days of my life happened in late March
see i think one of the best things about daniel molloy on the show is that he's clearly kinda uncomfortable with people's feelings. he wants the raw truth, he wants the deep dark stuff, he wants his interview subjects to go where it hurts the most, and he's incredibly good at getting that. and also every time that happens he has no idea how to manage an ounce of sensitivity, or, like, what next. hunting dog going deer in the headlights in real time. you can see the shift from "yay we're getting into the trauma!!" to "oh fuck we're getting into the trauma." character of all time
and that's why Armand was so on point with journalism being Daniel's drug: he gets a rush out of that climactic reveal, that moment when the façade cracks and rains down an explosion of shards; it's the reaction he could never get from his docile, drug-addled parents despite all his acting out.
yes armand and daniel are both dog coded but they’re dog coded in opposite ways. daniel is some kinda scraggly mutt that sticks his head in the trash and pulls your mistress’s underwear out from between the couch cushions where the wife and can see and doesnt give the ball back when you’re playing fetch. armand is an immaculately styled and trained rescue spaniel with an insane amount of trauma that has been taught not to bark or growl and thus does not give a single warning signal before tearing your face open because you’re like wearing a hat or something

Having "a lot" of followers on tumblr is funny because probably 80% of them are ghost blogs who haven't been on here in like a decade.
It's like, no no, those aren't my followers, that's a graveyard! I'm the caretaker of a thousands of tombs. I love them, but they've been dead for seven years.

Whistling as I trim the hedge and pull the weeds throughout my massive cemetery, occasionally telling humorous stories or showing animation clips to the spirits of Tumblr-past. Once in a while an actual human visitor shows up and gives me a lil spook.
