Ebooks

Hey all!

So guess what, I have eBooks on Amazon! Some of you might already know that. I’ve made mention of it in my profile on fanficiton.net but I don’t think I said so on AO3. I’ll have to correct that.

Little secret, shhhhhh, all of my current books are Inu/Kag fanfic conversions, hahahahahahaha. Hey, if it’s good enough for 50 Shades of Twilight it’s good enough for me!

But so if you know anyone whom you’d just love to recommend my works to, but they’re not into Inuyasha at all, then my “original” versions of some well-loved stories will make for great reading! Also too, if any of my loyal fans out there would like to read the “original” counterpart to anything, I will trade a Free PDF in exchange for Amazon reviews! Hit me up via private message to arrange that.

Also also too! The very first ebook I ever published on Amazon is in Kindle Unlimited, and so per Amazon’s rules its fanfic counterpart had to come down. That story was Love at First Bite, if anyone remembers it. Paranormal romance told in 1st person from the female vampire’s POV. The Inu/Kag version doesn’t exist online anywhere anymore, however if you have Kindle Unlimited you can read the eBook version on Amazon for free!

All of my other eBooks still have their Inuyasha counterparts up because they are not in Kindle Unlimited, and they are as follows:

The Ghosts of Suicide Forest, Silver Fang but it had a name change to Silver Dawn: A Fang for a Fang, my beloved haunted house graphic horror Onigumo House, which was renamed Blutinstein Manor, and the only one that’s not perfectly themed for Halloween (LOL), my Inu/Sess modern AU Brotherly Love.

I can never leave Tumblr because after years of sporadic therapy utterly failed to even approach the core of my problem some random tumblr user was like “I processed my trauma by writing a 10,000 word work of filthy fanfic erotica” and I was like “fuck it I’ve tried everything else” and now I’m 17 chapters and 20,000 words deep into an unpublishable work of obscenity and after careful literary analysis with one of the Beloved Mutuals I have come to some Terrible Revelations about my childhood and may now continue the process of Healing. Where else am I supposed to get this kind of experience. Who does this. Why are we like this. I’m never leaving. I love y’all.

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset

  • the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
  • taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
  • at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
  • 'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
  • it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
  • it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
  • you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
  • young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
  • there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

What they don’t tell you about speaking multiple languages is that your brain does not in fact have a box labeled Spanish and another one labeled German. Instead it has a box labeled “Not English” and sometimes when you’re talking or writing in one of the languages you speak it will just start pulling random words from that box.

Nappy.co

You know how long I've been looking for something like this!?

To any sketch artist out there too.

[Image ID: a black woman wearing a plaid shirt and red bandana around her head. Her braided hair is coming out of the top od her head and falling in front of her. Text says "Did you know there's a black-owned stock photo company nappy.co that provides stereotype-free images of black people" /end]

the other day i was trying to find reference images of black people for art things but all i was finding were black-and-white images of white people! love this!!

Also! They accept submissions. If you’re a photographer and want to contribute, the button is on the bottom left of the webpage.

hey when you make posts, i just want you to know, thou/thee/thy/thine/ye are like he/you(object)/your/yours/you(subject) okay? "thou art wearing shoes," "i will wear shoes for thee," okay?

you say thine if the next word starts with a vowel and thy if the next word starts with a consonant and they both mean "your" so "thine own shoes," "thy shoes," okay?

and ye means you and refers to the subject of a sentence, "ye members of the brotherhood of shoes," okay? you need this information to create better knight yaoi. i'm personally more interested in nun yuri but we are a community

Documenting what is quite possibly the best exchange I have ever seen on this website.

He will not be exiled again

I enjoy all parts of this post. The trans leash, the confusion, the heartfelt display of affection we give to our pets. The biography, the history lesson, and the morality of keeping cats indoors are all bonuses.

Hey thats me again.

Anyway guess whos 18 now!!!

Frank

This post has EVERYTHING...

My genuine hope that Frank is now a sleepy 19-year-old still enjoying his futon.

Genuinely kind people don't get enough credit. People seem to think that being nice is just a personality trait, but it's actually a commitment to treat people well, even when it's hard. It's not just being nice to the people you like.

It's choosing to be kind to people when you're in a bad mood, or when they're being annoying.

It's choosing to be kind to people who your friends don't like.

It's choosing to be kind to people who you don't particularly like.

It's choosing to be kind to people who you envy.

I'm not saying that you can't be a kind person and stand up for yourself, or tell someone to fuck off when they're doing something genuinely harmful, but there are a million petty reasons people use to justify treating people badly.

It is a conscious choice, made over and over, often several times a day, to treat people with kindness and respect, even when they make it hard. So appreciate the consistently kind people in your life, because they work hard to be that way, and they really don't have to.

Something that comes up when I discuss kindness with people is that people who I experience as being kind believe that they're just faking it. They don't believe it counts if you're kind to someone who you're secretly annoyed by.

But that's exactly what kindness is. It's making the effort to treat people well when you don't feel like it.

If anything it should count MORE when it's not effortless.

Absolutely insane lines to just drop in the middle of an academic text btw. Feeling so normal about this.
