Just a funny little guy on the internet who's way too obsessed with RWRB, The Pairing, and Heartstopper! 30, genderfluid, bisexual, polyamorous, witch. I DO NOT INTERACT WITH MINORS!!!

Introducing April Showers Bring May (De)Flowers, an NSFW fic prompt event!

The event is simple: spin 3 prompts from this prompt wheel, write a fic inspired by them, and post your fic to our ao3 collection between April 28th and May 4th with the prompts listed in the notes.

Please let us know if you have any questions, and we’re excited to see what you come up with!

If there is a sequel to Red White and Royal Blue, I want Nicholas Galitzine to reprise his role as Prince Henry while still being this beefed up and I want to watch him absolutely demolish Alex's twunk ass

Fanfic 20 Questions!

1: How many works on AO3?

49. 45 completed, 4 WIPs

2: Total AO3 word count?

715,436

3: Top 5 fics by Kudos?

Maddened by the Stars, I See You, You’re Home with Me, Thank You Sir, You Make my Head Spin (in descending order from most to least)

4: What fandoms do you write for?

Red, White, and Royal Blue for now, but hoping to expand my repertoire once the hyperfixation abates. (Going on a year now in the RWRB fandom soooooo who knows if that’ll happen)

5: Do you respond to comments?

😬 I used to try to respond to every comment, but I’ve gotten really bad at responding to comments in the last few months.

6: Angstiest ending?

I exclusively write happy endings, but I would say my angstiest fics in general are Maddened by the Stars, Sweetheart, You’re Home with Me, Breathe Again, and You Make my Head Spin.

7: Fic with the happiest ending?

Again, they ALL have happy endings, but the happiest?? Probably I See You or Food for the Soul.

8: Do you get hate?

Not frequently. I’ve had a couple of comments here and there in the past, but not enough to say I get it all the time.

9: Do you write smut?

Out of 49 fics, 34 are rated E. So yes.

10: Do you write crossovers?

Depends on your definition of a crossover. Several of my fics are inspired by other universes (I’ve got a Firefly AU, an Ever After AU, a King and I AU, a GBBO AU, a Greek mythology AU, and probably a couple of more) but I don’t usually borrow the characters from that AU (Ever After AU excluding).

11: Ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

12: Ever had a fic translated?

Again, not to my knowledge.

13: Have you ever co-written a fic?

This Mark on my Chest is something I’m considering co-written as the idea is one my friend and I are taking a Two Cakes approach to, so he’s listed as a co-writer.

14: All time favorite ship?

At this point in my life it’s FirstPrince, but that’s evolved over time with my various hyperfixations.

15: WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I don’t like this one 😭 mainly because I don’t like to abandon fics. That being said, one that I’m currently STRUGGLING to write is El Profesor del Ray. And then my Queer Hotties fic is a WIP, but that one isn’t really plot based, so it’s okay that it’s a WIP.

16: Writing strengths?

Oh gods don’t ask 😓 I can be good at writing emotions sometimes, I guess? And smut. I think I’m pretty decent with smut.

17: Writing weaknesses?

I am a comma girlie (gn). Like… it’s bad.

18: Thoughts on mixed language dialogue?

I’ve used it before, and will probably use it again. That being said, it annoys me when an author uses mixed language dialogue in a fic and then doesn’t leave a translation in the author’s note at the end. Plus it can be used too much.

19: First fandom you wrote for?

RWRB

20: Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Oh gods. It’s a toss up between Maddened by the Stars, I See You, and the entire Andromeda series.

fathers casually dropping the craziest lore of their lives in the middle of a conversation

My brother and I trying to piece together our dad’s life based on random info he casually brings up once and then never mentions again

When my great grandpa was on his deathbed my grandpa (his son) was with him and says his last words were “I told them they shouldn’t have hanged that woman. Well by damn they’re paying now” and no one in my family knows what the fuck that means

My grandmother was harassing me about the dangers of online dating, and my grandpa was like, “Oh fer crying out loud, leave her alone. My parents met online, she’ll be fine.” Apparenly my great grandparents were both telegraph operators who would chat over the line in between messages and fell in love and my great grandma moved halfway across the country to marry a dude she met over the telegraph.

No one alive in the family had ever heard this story until like 70+ years later when I happened to start seeing a dude from OK Cupid.

We were driving through Old Country once and my grandpa Sasha randomly went “oh this is where we blew up that bridge as kids, I guess it got rebuilt”

i feel like we've sort of grown up in the same sphere and on the same job, and have, really, i'd like to think been there for each other throughout it all. - kit about his friendship with joe

I recently read an article about a therapy group for depressed people who had all attempted suicide at some point. The breakthrough question for them was, “If your goal was to be just as miserable as possible, what would you do?” Most of them listed things like not getting enough sleep, or isolating themselves from everyone… the list goes on, but the point is, they listed things they already do. But now they saw those “coping mechanisms” for what they really were: things that were actively making their condition worse.

I read that article at 2:00 AM, asked myself, am I TRYING to be miserable tomorrow? And it was easier than usual to put my phone down and fall asleep. Even my intrusive “lying down” thoughts about meaninglessness and existential dread were easier to suppress when I framed them as things I’d think about to purposefully make myself feel as awful as possible.

Fuck that is helpful

if you feel bad for no reason, that’s scary and frustrating. if you MAKE yourself feel bad, it’s okay, because you’re in control. except if you’re in control, maybe you should try to make yourself feel good, even if that’s scarier because it might not work.

scary and good is, actually, better for you long term than predictably bad.

whenever a young kid joins our staff at work im just like huh. guess im a father now.

these kids will be like “can you drive me home? i don’t have gas money but-” and im already pullin out my keys and am like. sweetheart, you are a child. i am not charging a child gas money.

i literally almost lunged across the counter to throw hands with some old hag who yelled at and insulted one of our 16 y/o girls but instead i threw her sandwich at her and told her to never fucking come back

old dudes will flirt with our young girls too and i’ll be like ay man this is a truck stop, normal customer service rules dont apply here. i can and will call the cops on you.

WRONG! BOUNDLESS PLATONIC LOVE, WARMTH, AND ENTHUSIASM BE UPON YE!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

btw if you are friends with someone and you have the kind of dynamic where you can tease each other you also need to be nice. just so we're all aware. you also have to be nice with your words on top of it. like with your words. use your words. you should tell them with your words when you like something about them. if you are scared of being too sincere or vulnerable that is not an excuse to not be nice to someone. also you should work on that. ok are we all on the same page
