Hey. Look at me. Please leave yourself a note somewhere you'll see it later that says "it is going to take years if not decades to get the United States government to the level of functionality it had in November of 2024." If we elect a democrat in 2028, we are not going to be up and running by 2032.

Please make sure you have a reminder in your phone reminding you to not look at 2028/32/36 Democratic candidates and say "why are they not promising/delivering Cool Shit?" because you are going to understand that to get Cool Shit we must have competent people running a decently funded government, and we are not going to have that.

We are not getting UBI. We are not getting single payer healthcare. We are not getting free college or free preschool. We are not redistributing wealth on a large scale. We are not getting free internet. We are not getting ranked choice voting.

If we are lucky, we are going to get an IRS that can collect taxes, qualified schoolteachers, research grants, Social Security, and a government that thinks maybe it should be a priority for people around the worlds to not have AIDS, malaria or TB.

This started in the late 1960s. It’s not getting better in one or two terms of presidency. Baby Boomers decided not to invest in important things like infrastructure (roads, sewage, water, dams, bridges, etc), education, medical care, scientific research, national debt, the environment, or even innovative technologies— they were too busy investing in unmitigated consumption. They have only just very recently stopped being the majority vote and voice, and they will not stop being a noisy claxon until the middle 2030s. We need to pay these bills before we can have the cool shit. We need to pay these bills so our grandchildren and their children can have a functioning country and maybe a shot at the cool shit.

Vote for tax reform and the return of antitrust laws. The rich are only interested in making themselves richer, and the ethos of Big Business since the 1970s has been that their only priority is profit, not social good whatsoever. Vote to get their money and lobbyists out of government—not just Washington! Your city and state governments are where they won first! Tell your representatives that corporations aren’t people, much less citizens.

This is how we get back to that nostalgic America that was “Great”. Except this time let’s do it a whole lot better by lifting everyone instead of just straight white men.

'Republicans graduating from law schools' have invalidated the Constitution, due process, and habeas corpus all to not offend First Felon and his highly illegal and morally devoid policies.

This is human trafficking. All a projection.

this is going to sound like such a little sibling ass take but i genuinely believe that being a little bit annoying is actually a greater sign of maturity and self awareness than being universally likeable and on good terms with everyone

if some people find me annoying and can't stand me because of how i think and act then that means i'm a fully realized human being with my own personality and opinions and free will and not just a reflective surface for other people's desires, which is in fact a good thing despite what people who want you to just be a reflection of their own opinions and desires will tell you, and why being considered "cringe" or whatever doesn't bother me at all

also it's really funny when you're confident enough in yourself to know that people not liking you isn't always a sign that you're the problem. like there's something undeniably hilarious about being aware your mere existence has the power to piss someone off and ruin their day and i recommend embracing it.

I actually laughed at some idiot on Ao3 who got mad at me because I wouldn't explain why I liked this one gay ship they couldn't see the chemistry for.

why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable

Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….

Finally, we have them all.

In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.

Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.

It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.

It also only has 1 note. Truly a broken post

I don’t even know what to make of this

WHAT THE FUCK
