The Sandstorm Moonwyn has a rose quartz crystal heart. It stands about a foot tall and it has a coat of high quality faux fur. The head and the paws are cast in resin for maximum durability. The hands are sculpted out of a flexible clay that will not break when bent. The neck and tail have a fully posable plastic ball and socket armature inside that will not wear out over time. The arms have a wire inside that can be bent at the shoulder and elbow.

A couple weeks ago I was practicing my owl calls on a night hike and I successfully called in a barred owl. My owl call is pretty good, but I've never called an owl to me from afar because I rarely do night hikes and so I don't get much chance to. I had expected to be really excited about this, especially since two of my coworkers are really skilled at owl calls and they don't usually get a response, much less a full conversation, but instead I felt so guilty. I eventually had to start ignoring this poor deceived owl that was following my call through the park. I felt like I catfished him.

I was gonna say "who among us would follow an inhuman voice in the forest yelling HEY, HEY YOU WHAT'S UP?" but then I remembered this website has me pigeonholed as Most Likely To Be Taken By The Fae. So. Yeah fair enough to this owl, I would probably do the same.

Well guys, here it is, I've finally started coloring my refs so I can post the first of the batch: Heart! Who is a velvet worm... Okay, an explanation is due. So when I first thought of these guys, I only had the full Mind Electric music video to work off of so all I knew is that Heart had purple lips, was blind, and specifically the line where Mind refers to Heart as a creature. I latched onto this line and so made Heart a really creature-y creature (since I haven't done a velvet worm before). I also figured velvet worms fit since I thought they were blind (there is a blind velvet worm but most of them can see) As for the red, I figured it'd be a good contrast to the purple lips and I didn't realize purple was the major color associated with him and I couldn't find any purple velvet worms (but now I also see it as a way to tie Heart and Soul together since Soul is also majority purple). As I discovered the rest of CCCC, I honestly didn't have to change much as I got attached to the worm and realized this does still fit. I mean emotions are big, inconvenient, tend to get in the way of things, and make up a ton of space in your head so it kinda fits. As for the in-universe reason why Heart is a velvet worm, that's simple. Whole's fursona is a velvet worm chicken hybrid named Vivi :). Fun Facts: Its stated in the ref but the anatomical Heart symbol glows different colors depending on his emotions, to really play into how obvious his emotions are. He is totally blind but he can kinda see Mind and Soul but they're only glowing silhouettes without detail. Size wise I'd say he's about the length of a dinner table. He can climb on walls cause of the feet but he rarely does, its too much of a hassle. His eye stalks are completely mobile. Sometimes when Mind is extra petty he'll tie Heart's eyestalks together in a knot leaving him to untie them. He doesn't actually know about Vivi and why he's a velvet worm but Mind and Soul do know about Vivi. They both agreed its funnier to not tell Heart. He may be squishy but he's definitely the strongest. Keep in mind for these refs that these are specifically for my interpretation/version of the album which I will note is very weird. Oh, and remember that I specifically noted this Heart as Cacophony. You'll see why later ;).
