So my computer hasn’t been letting me do my EHR Tutor assignment on my computer so I’ve been doing it on my phone. And at some point in my Narrative Note a word autocorrected to Spock. I WORTE SPOCK IN A GRADED HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT. AND MY PROFESSOR COPIED IT TO MAKE NOTES ABOUT IT AND IM JUST LOOKING AT SPOCK IN BIG BOLD LETTERS. IM GOING TO JUMP OFF A CLIFF.

SPOT. I MEANT SPOT.

How do I begin to explain this to her. “Sorry bout that Professor. I write a lot of Star Trek fanfiction and in my attempt to write spot my phone accused me of lying and called me a nerd to my face and instead corrected it to Spock. Again; my apologies.”

I APOLOGIZED IN PERSON FOR WRITING SPOCK AND I WAS LIKE “yeah, I’m a Trekkie. I write Spock daily. My phone autocorrected.” And she just nodded her head and was like “I figured” 😭

She responded to my note and I’m torn between trying to be normal and laughing in the middle of class

I was reading this and grinning before I looked at who actually posted it. Realized who it was. And then I laughed. Sorry @forfuckssakejim I know you must be mortified. At least you have a nice teacher. Really brave and kind of her to admit that bit of Elvis trivia.

This guy had a very niche role on Star Trek tv shows and we appreciate him for it.

This is kind of a neat opportunity for environmental worldbuilding that's a bit beyond the typical Voyager writers.

The first one is Risa, a real resort world. In Trek, Risa is the ideal resort. The second one is a holographic resort. Then everyone starts tweaking it to suit their ideals.

One could posit that at some point, a researcher went to Risa and made holographic scans of the architecture and people to form the bases of holo programs.

Or alternatively, when B'Elanna asked the computer to conjure up a sexy man, it scanned all available archrival images and recordings it had of Risa until it found this guy, and copied him.

Since B'Elanna specifically made this guy herself, I would suggest she based him of the real person she met while on Risa. Which is a bit creepy but definitely plausible.

Or he's saved as Sexy Risa Guy.jpg in the computer.

I like to think he applied to be one of the standard holographic models for Hot Guy

Ok but can we just talk about his speedo for a second. Omg I love it. Is there an artist out there willing to draw Kirk in that thing? TOS, AOS, or SNW. All welcome. Hell do Spock too.
