Excluding the crucial fact that office jobs pay you an income….if staying home to raise children and do chores and bake bread was really so much easier and more joyful than working in an office on some objective level, why aren’t men doing it? Why aren’t they chomping at the bit to be ~leisurely house husbands~ to a working wife? Why aren’t they stepping up to depend solely on someone else’s income in exchange for round-the-clock domestic labor, if it’s really as blissful and their propaganda suggests? Curious.

Okay. Then you do it. Men have all those societal advantages. All the power. The system is built for men. You talk about this all the time. So why don’t you just become one? You want to get those promotions, that respect at the car dealership, you want to walk home at night and look over your shoulder less often. All it’ll take is, you know, a few years on testosterone. Changing your name. Reminding your friends and family to use the new name and pronouns because this won’t work if everyone knows you’re just pretending.

Or does the idea of doing all of that for the hope of a leg up in one or two specific areas seem, you know, fucking ridiculous?

Especially if the area you want a leg up in is the notoriously respected, well-funded and well-paying world of women’s sports

the argument that people choose to go through harassment and therapy and surgery and threats and violence just to make a little more money by “infiltrating female sports” falls apart when you point out that trans women athletes are actually earning less than they did before they transitioned.

terfs and radfems are incapable of simply accepting that trans people exist and it’s not anyone’s choice to be trans just like it isn’t anyone’s choice to be gay. they have to make up insane conspiracy theories because they want to pretend that they’re the victims, rather than the perpetrators of violence that they are.

we can add “cis guy willing to take the economical and social costs of pretending to be a trans woman to scratch the itch of winning at something” to the list of modern cryptids right along “abled person willing to invest thousands of dollars in the years long pursuit of a better parking spot” and “financially stable person willing to quit their job to live in poverty the moment they hear about food stamps”
