I never thought I would bind Crimson Rivers because it just feels so intimidating to do this masterpiece justice. For all the gory, angsty, depressy feels that Zar blessed us, I thought the magic of reading this felt like a Ghibli Studio film. So this deceiving-covers set was born lol.
I adore soooooo many relationships in this fic (it was the epitome of found family *sobs*) but I wanted to focus on the 4 the broke me the most: Jegulus, Wolfstar, Dorlene, and Black brothers 😭😭
How can Jegulus be anything else besides Ponyo?! I mean Reg is the Princess of the Sea 🥰 I'm sorry but it just has to be this way lol. The seawater from the original Ponyo is changed to red for CRIMSON rivers (but like a cutesy pastel pinkish red because we don't want more pain.. sort of)

So hear me out... Howl basically sold his heart for magic and Sirius sold himself to the Hallow to survive? Just waiting for Remus to find him? DOES THAT MAKE SENSE *SOBS* Instead of Calcifer, Remus holds the moon because Moony is Sirius's heart!?! I'm not crying, you are! 😭😭 (Why am I like this??)
🩸 Dorlene x Princess Mononoke
It's hard for me not to compare Marlene to Mononoke. She's such a fighter and protector, yet perceived or even self-perceived as a wild beast or monster. Then Dorcas comes and shows her that she can be accepted and loved for exactly who she is... Also, that thing on her face isn't blood yall. It's just.. grape jelly 🍇😋
