AI disturbance overlays for those who don't have Ibis paint premium. found them on tiktok

how do you use these?

Put these on the top layer above everything, set layer to 'overlay' then adjust opacity. You can put it on whatever opacity you want but usually 30%+ is most effective.

The point is to obstruct the picture so AI can't read your image because AI counts every single pixel in your art

By this post alone, in less than 5 hours.

I need you all to calm the fuck down

NEEDED AND NO WE WONT THIS IS BRILLIANT

last fic of the week is a headcanon very near and dear to my heart-- Every State Is Plural On Account Of Cities. Yay <3 its a very short fic so as supplement i am also posting some headcanons and encouraging you all to share ideas as well

  • BASICALLY as i think is supported by canon: cities are little subpersonifications in their respective state's heads, who sometimes chatter to their states or temporarily take over the body to share their point of view (austin)
  • +you should read the all mysta exes live in texas series btw. its basically all this and its really really good
  • theoretically any city can have a personification but how "loud" a city is depends on how distinctly that city defines itself from the state
  • this looks a little bit different for every state obviously but there are some major categories:
  • states where one major city is basically co-fronting with the state at all times (new york & nyc, illinois & chicago, you would think mass and boston too but nope! see below)
  • states that have a bunch of cities that all kind of blend in and out of front without being a noticeable change from the usual personality of the state (massachusetts, most new england states tbh, maybe florida ?)
  • states with a couple large cities whose vibes generally match with the vibes of the states enough that they either don't feel the need to take the driver's seat often or it just isn't noticeable when they do (most of the midwest (indiana and indianapolis, minnesota and st. paul/minneapolis, ohio and the Three C's), colorado i think)
  • states with cities whose vibes are different then their vibes but the cit(ies) are less of a Presence then chicago or nyc so they mostly just hang out and only occasionally steal the driver's seat (pennsylvania, tennessee (nashville), michigan (detroit), maybe north carolina. these are situations where like. people outside of the state think of the city (or cities) as Different from the state but don't just think of the city when they think of the state. thats a lot of words i hope it made sense)
  • Whatever California Has Going On (i don't understand california)
  • Whatever Texas Has Going On (states and cities having conflicting wants is pretty par for the course but everyone kind of finds it weird how much texas seems to actively be fighting with austin for control sometimes. i would love to expand on this more later perhaps. if i learn more about texas. i think a lot about that bit in dc statehood)
  • okay and finally my most important note is that i think. you should all come play in this space with me. because it's self-indulgent and good character fun and also because it can lead to a lot of really funny situations. such as: new york city and la have a weird gay lovehate relationship going on. this infuriates philly and boston because they both think they hate nyc the most. chicago also doesn't like nyc but in a more platonic competition way. this leads to situations like "pennsylvania interacting with california and he's trying to just be normal about it because he doesn't have beef with california but philly is screaming THAT'S THE GUY WHO STOLE MY HOMOEROTIC RIVAL !!!!!! KILL HIM !!!!!!!! in his head and pennsylvania is like what the fuck are you even talking about". thank you for your time

WELCOME TO HERMIT-A-DAY MAY 2025!

Another year, another Hermit-a-Day May! I'm so thrilled to be able to bring this event to you all for the third year in a row.

THE RULES: 1. Any type of fanwork is welcome so long as it features, or is otherwise inspired by, the Hermit of the day. 2. Tag #hermitaday to have your fanwork reblogged, or submit it directly to the blog (Please note that while we recognize the value of fanworks involving more mature themes, and they can certainly count toward challenge completion if you're keeping track for yourself, content on this blog will be kept "PG-13" so that all may enjoy.). 3. Fanworks for one Hermit posted after the day rolls over to another Hermit's day (per the US Central time zone) will be reblogged in one big queue in June. 4. Traced or stolen work is NOT welcome. If we discover you have posted traced or stolen work, you will be given one chance to delete it and apologize, or you will be blacklisted from the blog. AI-generated/assisted pieces are similarly unwelcome and will not be featured on the blog. 5. We are not interested in seeing captions or tags in which you disparage your art/skills, and will not be reblogging posts where this happens. We're all improving all the time. Be kind to yourselves. 6. Technically not a rule, but we strongly recommend adding alt text or description to all images. Click here to learn more about writing alt text - it's pretty easy!

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE? To show love to every Hermit, from the most to least subscribed, from those who have been on the server from day one to those who only joined this season! And because challenges are fun! And because we are once again out here for a good cause: we're running another fundraiser for Gamers Outreach, featuring art incentives by nine amazing artists. Learn more about our incentives in these posts:

WHO’S RUNNING THIS? Hi! My name is Luna! You can use ze/hir, she/her, he/him, or ro/ros/roseself pronouns for me. My main blog is @as-if-unreal. Helping me out this year is the incredible Mod Sky ( @skyspersonalhell ), who uses any pronouns!

BONUS DAY PROMPTS EXPLAINED UNDER THE CUT

How Mexicans feel about duendes too.

True. Most Irish people, as Norwegians do with Trolls, will happily let the 'fairies' be a thing to make tours for tourists and idle threats to make children behave. Most Irish people will have a very normal and mature explanation of fairies as a common folk mythology that expresses some dimension of Irish culture but are not, obviously, to be taken literally.

And most Irish people, if you ask them to move a stone from a fairy circle will immoveably, flatly respond with 'absolutely fucking not'.

Construction projects have had to halt and be abandoned for it.

At work me and a couple coworkers (black, white, and mexican) had a fun discussion on whether there are more ghosts at a hospital or a cemetery.

everyone individually took a moment to specify that ghosts probably aren't REAL real. then weighed in on where and why.

for the record my position was that there's probably way more ghosts in hospitals because that's where people die horribly, but since you can only see ghosts in dark, solitary conditions, graveyards at night is where the majority of ghost sightings occur. hospitals are usually well lit and busy, so even if they're crammed with ghosts the living are too damn busy to see them. meanwhile if a cemetery has even one ghost that followed her corpse there from the hospital, she'll be spotted because that's where all the ghost hunters go to look.

this theory was received as extremely sensible, and a coworker drew the conclusion that that's why abandoned hospitals are even scarier than graveyards. once the place gets abandoned then you can tell how much ghosts got built up.

we all liked this explanation a lot and explained it to everyone else all night. and of course, none of us believe in ghosts.
