Presto（プレスト）は、オペラ・ソフトウェア (Opera Software ASA) 制作のHTMLレンダリングエンジン。2003年〜2013年、Opera 7〜12 の間で採用されていた。
概要
主にインターネットスイートOperaが利用していた。ベータ版やプレビュー版などを経て、2003年1月28日Windows用としてリリースされたOpera 7.0より実装されている。名前は演奏記号のpresto（急速に）に由来している。
Prestoエンジンはバージョン4〜6で使用されていたElektra（エレクトラ）エンジンに代わり実装されたもので、DOMやスクリプトイベントによって構成されたWebページを表示出来る。なお、Mozilla Firefoxバージョン3がリリースされる以前は正式版から見るとクロスプラットフォームブラウザ及びWindows対応ブラウザとして唯一Acid2に合格しているものであった。
その後のリリースでECMAScript (JavaScript) エンジンの処理速度向上のためたびたびバグフィックスと最適化が行われた。
2013年2月12日にオペラ・ソフトウェアはPrestoエンジンの開発を終了すると発表した[1]。Opera 14 は WebKit、Opera 15以降は Google が主体となって開発を進めている Blink に切り替え、開発支援に携わっていくとした。
