Five more people died in traffic last month than in September last year, reports Statistics Finland.
Seven were killed in a passenger car, one in a van and two on motorcycles. Five pedestrians, three cyclists and one other road user also lost their lives.
A total of 440 people were injured in road traffic accidents in the first autumn month.
Since the start of the year 159 people—13 of whom were pedestrians—have died on the road.
