National airline Finnair has announced plans to fly to almost one hundred different destinations around the world next summer, once Covid restrictions on international travel are lifted.
"We look forward to the world continuing opening again," Finnair's Chief Commercial Officer Ole Orvér said in a company press release on Tuesday, adding that further information on additional destinations and routes will be announced in the coming weeks.
In total, Finnair's network for the 2022 summer season, which kicks off in March, includes over 70 destinations in Europe, more than ten in Asia and four in the United States.
The routes include three new long-haul destinations; to Dallas, Texas in the United States, to Busan in South Korea and to Tokyo's Haneda Airport in Japan.
Before the pandemic, Japan was Finnair's second largest market after Finland, with the airline flying to five destinations: Tokyo Narita, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo. Authorities in the country are expected to begin lifting travel restrictions early next year.
