Finnish President Sauli Niinistö has tested positive for Covid-19, the president's office announced on Tuesday.
Niinistö, 73, is well and is continuing to work remotely, despite the infection, according to a statement.
However, the president's scheduled official visit to Norway on Thursday and Friday, as well as a Q&A session with school kids on Wednesday, have been postponed, the office said.
The planned topics at Wednesday's event — alongside the Minister of Education Li Andersson (Left) — were to have included Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Finland's security situation.
Last October, Niinistö announced that he had tested negative for the coronavirus after several days in quarantine following an exposure to the virus. He had attended a holocaust forum in Sweden with his Latvian counterpart Egils Levits, who later tested positive for the virus.
