The Klaus Härö-directed film 'My Sailor, My Love' has received the Audience Award for International Feature at this year's Chicago International Film Festival.
The Finnish-Irish produced film, which is Härö's first production in English, stars James Cosmo, known for his role in the HBO series 'Game of Thrones,' as well as Irish actors Bríd Brennan and Catherine Walker.
The film's plot revolves around the strained relationship between a retired sea captain and his daughter, after he starts a new romance with a widow, according to the online movie database IMDb.
The feature premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last month and has already sold distribution rights in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, the UK and Ireland.
'My Sailor, My Love' has sold around 72,000 tickets in Finland since it premiered at the end of September.
The Chicago International Film Festival concluded its 58th edition on Sunday and announced the audience choice award winners on Thursday, according to a press release. There were four audience choice categories: International Feature, English-Language Feature, Documentary, and Short Film.
