This week's show looks at the situation of foreign students in Finland. There are record numbers from outside the EU this year, but why did they come?
"I am really interested in the Finnish education system," said Haruka from Japan, who is studying at the University of Helsinki. "For me it's a bit different from the Japanese system so I am really curious about what the difference or what makes Finnish education very fascinating for every student even from abroad."
Once here students tend to like it, but they face challenges in getting a job after graduation. We asked Arttu Piri from the TEK trade union about his analysis suggesting thesis placements with private companies are crucial for foreign graduates looking for employment in Finland.
"We found out that if a student coming from outside the European Union does his or her master thesis in collaboration with a private sector company the probability of being employed with good quality is four times higher than if the thesis is done without a company collaboration," said Piri.

The podcast also asked Jonatan Pedersen from Yle's Kielikoulu app to tell us about the language learning tool. It lets users watch Yle content with Finnish subtitles, but allows them to click or tap on words they don't understand.
The app then gives a definition in any one of 16 languages.
"You won't learn a language completely without formal training but informal training is also very important, and this hopefully can help our users to then sort of get a better grip of what's going on in Finland and what Finnish culture is," said Pedersen. "You don't have to watch Selkouutiset, you can also watch Finnish humour programmes, documentaries, series, everything."
We also asked Mika Rantanen from the Finnish Meteorological Institute if Finnish winters are going to get grimmer and greyer as climate change continues.
"If you look at the winter as a whole I think the worst situation will be on the Southern coast of Finland," said Rantanen, who added that he expects Lapland to retain winter snow cover even towards the end of the century.
