During the Pride Parade in the centre of Helsinki in July 2010, a group of marchers were attacked with tear gas and pepper spray.

The attack exposed dozens of people to gas fumes, which caused breathing difficulties, stinging eyes and dizziness.

The three suspects in the case now face charges that include 87 counts of assault, 71 counts of violations of political freedoms and substance possession.
