Finland Celebrates Veterans’ Day
Finland is honouring its war veterans on Wednesday, centring in an event in Turku. Some 2,000 guests attended, about 1,000 fewer than last year.

The majority of the veteran guests arrived from nearby areas, since the youngest war veterans are already reaching 85 years of age.
The average age of Finnish war veterans is 88. Over half a million Finnish men participated in World War II-era conflicts.
