This past weekend he made headlines as he married for the third time, this time to American businesswoman Nancy Shevell.

McCartney's last appearance in Finland was at the Olympic Stadium in June 2004.

During shows in the US this past summer, he played sets composed of about two-thirds Beatles classics, along with songs from his albums as a solo artist and with the group Wings.

After a one-off gig in Abu Dhabi, the European leg of McCartney's tour begins in Italy in late November, arriving in Stockholm on December 10.

From Helsinki he proceeds on to Moscow before returning to the UK for two final shows before Christmas, ending in his hometown of Liverpool.

Tickets for the Helsinki show go on sale next Monday, October 17. The 13,000 seat Arena was built primarily as an ice hockey venue.
