Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States on Tuesday.

In an interview with the Centre Party's online publication Verkkoapila, Vanhanen mentioned the importance of achieving a global climate agreement. However, the premier said that one of Obama's main challenges would be revitalising the economy.
