Eurovision Fever Heats Up Helsinki

Eurovision events are taking centre stage in Helsinki. Public events are scheduled for the next two weeks in the Senate Square, Kamppi, and the Esplanade Park.

The Eurovision Media Centre opens Wednesday at the Helsinki Exhibition Centre, and the representatives of participating countries have already begun to arrive. The first delegation arrives on Wednesday from Georgia.

A record 42 countries will participate in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Finland's entrant in the 2007 competition is the country's first Idols winner, Hanna Pakarinen. The finals will take place on Saturday May 12th.
