According to party leader Timo Soini, the motion will be filed next month, after the Easter vacation. He said that the party will proceed regardless of the outcome of ongoing discussions on the shape of security to be provided by the Cypriot government.
“Not a single euro for Cyprus,” Soini declared.
Cyprus has negotiated a 10-billion euro rescue package from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund to salvage its financial services sector. However the country is still to determine how to raise 7 billion euros to guarantee the loan.
