Finns face arms fire in Afghanistan

Finnish peacekeeping troops came under fire while on a training mission close to Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan. According to the Finnish Defence Forces, no one was injured in the attack.

The Finnish Defence Forces reported that Finns deployed on a training mission were shot at in northern Afghanistan Friday morning. No one was hurt in the incident.

The group of Finnish soldiers were training Afghan officials some 15 kilometres from Mazar-i-Sharif, when they were targeted by a rocket launcher and a hand gun. The team was able to return safely to their base after the incident.
