Prime Minister Stubb will use his first official overseas visit to meet with the Estonian president on Monday.

As well as sitting down with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves in the country's capital, Tallinn, Stubb will also meet Estonia's Prime Minister, Taavi Rõivas, and Foreign Minister Urmas Paet.

Prime Minsiter Stubb's office said the four will discuss energy issues, regional safety and the European Union during the one-day visit.

Both Stubb and President Ilves are staunch EU supporters, and both leaders have spent significant lengths of time studying and working in Europe and the US.

Stubb and Ilves are both also ardent users of the social network Twitter, and in a sign of the relaxed relations between the two countries, Stubb tweeted in advance of the visit that he was "looking forward to seeing my good friends".
