Joint Nordic-American air force exercises start next week

On Tuesday, Finland, Sweden and the US commence a week-long session of unarmed flights to practice military tactics in Finnish airspace.

The exercises will take place during the daytime from March 24 to April 1 over Finnish and Swedish airspace predominantly above the Finnish town of Pori, as well as in international airspace over the Baltic Sea.

The American fleet of US F-16 jet fighters planes will be based in Ämari of Estonia's north coast, while the Finnish Hornets and the Swedish JAS 39 Gripen planes will be flying from their own home bases.
