Officials from Oulu’s public prosecutor’s office have pressed charges against seven people suspected of aggravated facilitation of illegal entry into Finland.
According to prosecutors, the alleged offences took place during autumn 2015. Officials said that the suspects belonged to an international criminal group and illegally organised trips for several Iraqis to Finland, via Turkey and Greece.
The cases also involve several other counts of aggravated fraud.
The accused are now facing remand hearings. During preliminary investigations they all denied playing a role in the crimes.
